Verrado Golf Club - Founders Course

Always an enjoyable and challenging venue. Bring your friends but also your best game.

Have not played here in 16-18 months because course conditions had become so poor and winter season is so expensive unless you were one of the lucky ones to get a yearly pass before they capped membership. With the heat comes much lower prices and I decided to try it again. The last time I played the greens had become infested with poa annua grass which created uneven and unplayable putting surface, coupled with shoddy grooming of tee boxes and fairways. I would say that it is slightly better than it was. Grooming is better, and some of the greens it looks like they are trying to improve, but still no where near a $200 per round winter course. I’ll play it this summer for $50 and under, but there are better choices in the area for playability at whichever time of the year you play.

Verrado was a course that was challenging but fair. It was in great shape as the fairways were green and greens fast. Definitely a keeper in my rotation.

Verrado golf club the Founders course was in excellent shape and the staff were very friendly.

From golf bag drop off to clearing your cart out at 18 Verrado Golf Club did not disappoint. Tee box to green was in excellent condition and incredibly scenic. Cannot wait to play it again.

From the moment I pulled up Dustin was at the bag drop ready to assist with my bag. Dustin answered all of my questions regarding tee sheet, pace of play etc. The cart person was fantastic too. I wish I’d got her name as she was awesome too.

The only gripe I have is the pins did not appear to match the pin position as notified.

For the second time, our group played the founders course of Verrado. The courses in good shape. It was not quite as good as the last time we played a couple of years ago, but still a beautiful layout nonetheless. Highly recommended course to folks that are willing to drive 40 minutes outside of Phoenix. Greens were a bit of a disappointment. Overall, though it was a fantastic experience, the staff was wonderful and accommodating will definitely come back when we visit the desert.

Well the group behind started at hole 8 and never stopped for the next ten holes even though we came and asked then not to as there’s no where to go - could have used a Marshall - anyway I left immediately after so I could cool down as that’s just ignorant of yhem

It was severely disappointing how I was questioned by staff regarding charge for ride along fee my wife.

I felt like I was being accused like I was attempting to get away with something by not being aware or that the ride along fee is $45.

My wife is a cancer survivor who no longer is able to play, but enjoys riding along; the attitude of the staff i interacted with regarding the ride along fee was off putting and quite frankly rude. I will not be returning to play golf at this facility.

My son and I golfed here the Monday of the final four at around 7 am. We had one twosome a ways in front of us and a twosome behind, but we never had to wait while playing. This was very nice because it was our first time golfing here and we weren’t sure of the layout. My son played the tips and was very challenged. Blind tee shots, elevation changes, and desert landscape all come in to play. The fairways were very nice. The greens were quite quick, and the beverage cart visited us twice. All in all a nice experience. The cost was more than I like to usually pay, but I’m glad I did this time.
