Not sure if it was just to early in the season but the course was not in good shape. It wasn’t worth the $50 charge.

Horrible Condition

This course is in terrible condition! Doesn’t drain well - green horrible - should advise players of problems on course - just a continuous mud hole

Had to stay on cart path - definitely needs to be shut down for repairs! To me it’s dishonest not to advertise it’s condition and take money from golfers! Most aren’t from the area so we don’t know until we play! I do not recommend until course has major repairs!

Smart golf cart ride

The smart golf cart is fully digitalized and very informative including the layout of each course and the distance to the hole.

Back nine is incredible! Front nine is pretty average.

First of all, I want to say that having worked in the golf industry for over 7 years (2001-2007) I have an understanding of "Early Season Conditions."

It had been 22 years since my father and I had played this golf course. We had a very good experience playing the back nine in 1998. Needless to say, we were pretty excited to come back and play all eighteen. Not to mention, I was going to get to share the experience with my 6 year old son, who usually likes to ride in the cart, putt and chip for about 7 or 8 holes and then relegate to munching on a bag of chips and drinking Gatorade while watching dad the rest of the way.

We arrived for our tee time and before I was even greeted with a warm welcome the gentleman in the pro shop asked for my name and tee time. I told him and he said, "Looks like you booked and paid on GolfNow." I replied, "Yes sir, it's my father, brother, myself and my 6 year old son will be riding with me, so I know there is a $10 rider charge, can I pay that on my Visa?" -- This is when I got a little upset, the gentleman responded, "Is he going to chip or putt at all?" and I responded, "He usually will hit a putt or two and maybe chip 4 or 5 times, but mainly just likes to hang with his dad and eat chips." The gentleman then tells me, "Well, I'm gonna charge you the junior rate of $25 for him."

Even though that upset me, because in 7 years of working in the private golf club business I don't ever recall charging a dad for his 6 year old to be on the course with him. But nonetheless, I paid it and we hit the course.

The course was extremely wet and muddy, greens had just been "punched." I do appreciate that GolfNow did alert me that aeration had recently taken place. Front nine layout was very average, but the Back nine is just breathtaking at points, including a 185 yard Par 3 that drops about 30 stories!!!

I would not suggest playing the course in the Winter or early Spring, but from April thru early October it is probably in very good shape and YOU HAVE TO SEE SOME OF THE VIEWS!

Just don't expect the Pro Shop to go out of their way to make your experience "Next Level."

Unfortunately no one was monitoring pace of place (even though the carts track it) group in front of us was playing about 25 minutes a hole (no one in front of them for 2 holes). We had to call it a day after 15 holes because we were coming up on 6 hours on the course and it was getting dark.

Dangerous Muddy Conditions

Not used to hilly courses, since I live in South Georgia. Rain the day before forced Cart Path Only and lots of walking on steep muddy ground. It was very slippery and hardly an dry locations. Should consider closing the course when conditions are so poor.

Fun course to play

Very good course, front side is easier than the back. Only bad part was it was cart path only and being a high handicap golfer, all my shot were not in the middle of the fairway, therefor I had to do my fair share of walking.
