Northdale Golf Club

Nice track. Fairways and greens were GREEN! Layout is nice and wide for most holes. Lots of water in play. We had an enjoyable round and will be back.

This was our second time playing this course. The first time took us 6 hours to play 18 holes. After speaking with manager after the first round, we were assured this was a rare occurrence. We decided to try it again, but were once again greeted by a slow round. After a 2 and a half hour 9 holes, we were third in line for the 10th hole. This was panning out to be another 6 hour round so we visited the pro shop to speak to the manager. We were offered a rain check for 9 holes but as were are from Canada and we were on our last day of vacation, a rain check was useless. Obviously the pace of play was unacceptable, which is why we were offered a rain check. For the two of us, it was a waste of money and we will not be returning.

On another note, make sure your cart has the pin placements on it. Ours did not and really messed up our round.

Even though the greens had been top sanded recently, they rolled great. The course is kept up well.

Best greens on any public course we have played recently in Florida. had to be a 10 + stimp. Greens make a golf course. DO NOT leave your approach above the hole!

They start you off 10 because "it's faster than starting on 1"???
Okay we get there and 4 other groups waiting to tee off. No Rangers anywhere!
Fast forward 5 hours we are done. Twosome in front of us used the course like a driving range, hitting as many as three tee shots per hole. They had no business playing that course. Greens are lightening fast and probably too much for the average player. Tees, and fairways need a lot of attention. Price is cheap but you get what you pay for. Won't play again until they manage that course better from cart girls to grill attendants they just aren't trained at all. Understaffed in proshop and even a long line to fricken pay for the round.

had a 1:05pm tee time didn't tee off until 1:20pm, started on #10 played the first 9 in 3 hours we decided to play the back 9 again in hopes to finish before dark
no rangers to keep things moving, I've played this course a few times and have NEVER finished in under 4.5 hours, needless to say I'll never play here again
unless you enjoy waiting 10 minutes or more on every tee box play anywhere else

Make sure you try this course. The course was in excellent condition and a challenge to play. I have recommended this to my friends and am looking forward to playing again.

Greens always maintained well. They were especially fast and in tough locations. Course well maintained.

Greens are exceptional. Good speed and role true. Tee boxes and fairways are beat up. Many areas dug up due to carts on a wet course. Round took 5 hrs. , totally unacceptable. If you treat a customer rudely at check in, don't expect them to come back. The minute my payment came up as a third party tee time , I was treated rudely. Poor customer service, bad pro shop attitude.

Took us 3 hours to play 9 holes. We quit after 9. Unacceptable!

The course was in good shape. The greens where great and fast. Very true. I am a snow bird and play this course as often as I can get a good deal.

I hate a very badly maintained golf course, it is such a waist !!

Have played Northdale twice while on business in Tampa - it is close to the airport so a good course to get to for a quick round before leaving or upon arriving in Tampa area.
Rustic is the best way to describe the course. The tee boxes are full of weeds, the fairways while cut were full of grass shavings and therefore sloppy and the bunkers need much work. However, the greens were in surprisingly good shape and the course has a good layout (Ron Garl design). I think the primary defense of the course is it's length.
For a price of around $32 through GN it is worth the trip if you realize that you will not be playing a premium course.

I haven't played this course in a few years. Terrible when it was wet. This time the course was dry and I enjoyed my time out. Greens are in good shape not to fast but not slow.

RAIN July, Aug, Sep really hurt this course along with 90% of the other courses in tampa area. This is in my top 3 of 20 courses i play in the area, it will be back in great shape in a few weeks.

Terrible tee boxes and dry fairways. no starter or ranger-pace of play is awful.

Nice place, no practice range, other than that, plays well and on pace.
Would recommend and would play again.

Northdale seems to be slipping slowly down the path of it's now closed tennis courts, although we have had quite a bit of rain, signs are pointing towards neglect. I hope that I'm wrong because Northdale has always been a challenging track to play.

Fairways are in great shape, but they need to enforce 90 degree rule. A lot of mud trenches from carts on wet grounds. Greens are consistent but very fast. Tee boxes are uneven. Tough course, expect higher than usual scores.

Played this course several times. the only issue I have is that there are only two water stations one the course, and I did not see not one ball washer. other than that We enjoyed our round, and will play again...
