About
Northdale Golf & Tennis Club remains one of the premier Tampa golf courses because of its affordable play, its use of water on 11 of 18 holes, bunkers, rolling undulations and contoured greens that really challenge players. Just 12 miles north of Tampa International Airport, this is a neighborhood golf course with a friendly, relaxed atmosphere that will add to the enjoyment of your day. Renowned golf course architect Ron Garl designed the par 72, 6824-yard championship golf course. Northdale Golf & Tennis Club winds its way through 180 plus acres of property that is home to Brushy Creek and a series of small lakes and unspoiled wooded areas.

Not Fun Spent more time looking for my ball than playing
Course needs a lot more work, Grass bordering fairway was so tall you could not find your ball. If you did find your ball you couldn't hit it. Rest room trash can was overflowing. No water on course so you have to go into clubhouse. Went in to get water and cooler was empty. Does not give you a good feeling course is improving
Wait till the rain stops for a while before trying this course.
NOT a pretty course. The course has been poorly managed IMHO. The course needs work, particularly the fairways and at least first cut.
The Good!
Greens were maintained. Which was weird considering we found balls on the first cut off the green. Like a foot off !
Maybe they haven't been cutting because of all the rain. Maybe not. For now. It's rough.
Any club doing work on their course, no matter what the work is, should be posted on site or attached sites. We had no idea they laid sand and spread out on greens, playing holes were getting worked on, and signs saying the hole is closed but when we called the office they said that the 10th hole was open and she had no idea why their was a posted sign saying hole 10 is closed. A bit confusing.... overall we had fun but we should have known about work on course, before we drove 30+ minutes to ay on a course with restrictions. We could have chosen another location in full working order.

Love the course. The first hole green is being replaced so there is a temporary hole on #1.

The greens were fast. The course was in pretty good condition except for the temporary first green which is being replaced.

Great course good condition on the greens Are only complaint is it was very hot and no water on the course plus no cart beverage.
Poor golf experience
Unfriendly staff. Course in bad shape. 6 hour pace of play with no marshal intervening. Really bad golf experience. Do not recommend.
Terrible conditions and horrendous pace of play..
Been here previously and course wasn’t so bad. This time around, everything is pretty bad and needs desperate TLC. Teeboxes were OK, fairways pretty rough with lots of weeds, and the rough areas are way overgrown, so if you miss the fairway it’s very difficult to find your ball. Had 3 groups jammed up on the same hole pretty much all day. Greens were decent but did not roll true and are very bumpy. Pace was awful, waiting after every shot and after finishing every hole. They need to get a starter out here during the weekends… won’t be back anytime soon.
Good Value and lots of improvement
They can overbook at times which causes it to be congested and cause longer than usual rounds. The staff is great and there is lots of potential. I'm curious to see how well it drains after all this rain.
Fast Golf
Played there last Thursday afternoon. Originally booked 9 holes for tee time at 5 expecting the usual 1.5-1.75 hours of playing. Got through 9 holes in one hour! Went to the shop and asked to pay to play the back 9. He waived me out back to the 1st tee and let me play for no charge the front 9 again. Really appreciated the nice off and friendly staff. Some of the holes were in exceptional condition, some were average. The only surprise was hole # 1, a par 5 was shortened by about 100 yards with a temp green in the fairway. Wasn't expecting that one.
