Space Coast Golf Club
About
Challenge the Savannahs. On the windward side of Merritt island lies one of the most unique golf courses on Florida's Space Coast. The 6,450 yard Gordon G. Lewis design winds through majestic hardwood forests, natural wetlands, and scenic lakes to reveal protected, undulated greens. Nine holes are framed by a natural savannah conservation area, bordered by hammocks with a high canopy of trees and coastal flatwoods. Water, in the form of natural wetlands and manmade lakes, comes into play on thirteen holes. The course boasts several unforgettable holes, such as the 525-yard, par 5 Signature 7th, regarded as one of the most challenging holes in Central Florida. This beautifully tight, typically southern course features six sets of tees, making play ideal for beginners and pros. The back tees are demanding even for the best of the best, while our new “Family Tees” are playable by anyone who wants to tee up. Prepare for your round by warming up on our practice facilities that include: unique aqua range, chipping and bunker area, and full-sized practice putting green. Look around during your visit, and you will notice nature's splendor on display. Our preserve features many water birds, birds of prey, reptiles, and low country mammals that make the savannahs their home. The fairways additionally offer a great view of the nearby Cape Canaveral rocket launches. Our southern plantation styled Clubhouse is a great place to start and end your day at The Savannahs. Inside you will find a golf shop, plus a bar and grill with great food and hospitality to match. Or, wander outside to the veranda overlooking the aqua range and golf course to catch the sunset.

Golfer Reviews
Water Everwhere
Second time playing there, so we had to get revenge on the course for the first time playing there!
Inside staff was rude course was in amazing condition
Great condition however the inside staff was rude and not helpful
Great Surprise
First time playing here, was pleasantly surprised. Easy drive from East Orlando. Pace of play was great for a busy Saturday morning, starter said they had a league and were stuck behind a bunch of foursomes. We were still able to get around in less than four hours. Greens were excellent to putt on, some of the fairways had some ugly areas but as long as you are ok rolling the ball over in your fairway it is well worth it. Will be back sooner then later. Great short course, can play without a driver but you will need to be hitting it straight.
Tougher than it looks
Definitely a challenge for us accuracy challenged golfers. Very few holes allow you to take out your driver if you hit the long ball 270+. Oh and LOTS of water. All that said, it's well maintained and challenging and I'll definitely be back!
Great course, great condition
First time playing this course but was very impressed with the condition of the course, its challenges and the overall friendliness of the staff. I have played about 7 courses in Brevard county and I would place this course with the best of them. We will be back!!!
Very friendly people......not crowded!!
Nice course but a little burned out on fairways. Greens, bunkers in good shape. We played in 3.5 hours on a Monday.......enjoyed that!! We'd come back for sure.
Great course, great condition
Greens were near perfect condition, pace of play was perfect. Will defenitly be back. Challenging course but a lot of fun if you keep the driver in the bag.
Great Savannahs Golf
Course was in great conditions, staff was very friendly and helpful, had a great round of golf. I'll be back!
Good County Course
Greens in good shape and roll true. Some of the fairways need work in areas to keep grass growing. Overall the course is worth the money.
This could be a very nice course with some T.L.C.
Like all fl. Courses want top DOLLAR WITH AVG. or below AVG. Conditions this COURSE IS OVER PRICED
FOR the conditions. They are a long way from EXCELLENT.
Terrible weather
we drove from Orlando area to play and visit with family in the area...it was cold and rain on and off all day. We did do 18 holes as the pace was fast with most people getting off as played in 3 hrs 15 minutes. The greens were in good shape just very slow but due to the weather and fairways we good with some bare spots but I think due to flooding Before. All in all for the cost very good. Bring extra balls as lots of water and areas to lose them
Scenic course
The course was in better shape than the other four courses I have played in this area. Liked the layout and wound definitly would play again.
A Gem in the Swamps
Situated on swampland, this course can eat you up. Water comes into play on most holes, so shot making is important. A free warmup bucket of balls and the friendliness of the starter was a great way to start the golf game.
The greens are in great shape, but run a little slower than normal I was told. I played with a couple of experienced locals that were very good golfers, which was rather refreshing. The Fairways were mostly decent, and fairly dry. Be prepared for soggy fairways after rainy days here!
Best greens in the area
The course is prone to be wettish in areas and some fairways show the damage from continual wetness .The fairways not affected were excellent as were the greens. Tricky to read and fairly quick. The course was carved out of what was a swamp and therefore has a lot of water hazards to deal with. Take a few water balls!
great condition
course was in great condition the greens were quick and true
Great Course
Great facility,,course was in great shape for January,,great value,,would play again in a heart beat.
