Saddlebrook Resort - Pine/Oak

This hidden gem is one of the best courses in our area. Greens, fairways, tee boxes all in great shape. Playing the Palmer course again on Monday; will update if anything changes.

Course conditions were great, really no complaints there. This was my first time playing the Palmer course, have played the saddlebrook course in years past. I enjoyed the layout and thought it was challenging even though not a very long course. Course doesn't have to be long to present a good challenge. Greens were in great shape and rolled well. Pace of play was slow, mainly due to the course being cart path only. Will come back for sure.

I really did enjoy the course. The fairways were great. The rough was a little to short to be a real challenge. The greens were quite slow but rolled true and could be difficult to read. It is pretty short for anyone who hits it over 270 off the tee, but it makes up for it with enough risk reward to make you think twice. 7/10 overall, still had a great time.

Greens fairways and entire course was in great shape. Practically had the course to ourselves. Best value in Tampa as well!!!

Played here for the first time today and the course is great. Couple teeboxes need work, other then that there's not one thing you could come up with to say bad about this course. Greens rolled the same and true all day

Course was in great shape. Greens, tees and fairways were great. Design was challenging and really need to play a couple of times to know how and where to hit your shot. Pro shop had a conversation going on between employees and had to wait and then got less than stellar service. Had to ask where to go to get carts. Had to ask cart person where first tee was and just got a point in the general direction. The parking lot is a good walk to pro shop and didn't know they had a cart picking golfers up, no signs indicated. If it weren't for the nice course, the experience would not bring us back.

Beautiful course and great staff. Super quiet and nice smooth round. I will be back.

This was my first time playing. My family surprised me for my 40th. Seems the entire staff knew and made it feel that much more special. The course was great. I will be back!

Saddlebrook is a resort and has two courses as well as other amenities you wouldn't see at most other courses. The Palmer is well maintained and is easily one of my favorites. Every time I play this course it is in great shape. This summer has been dry and some fairways were showing signs of burnt grass but that is about the worst thing I can say. The greens are perfect and there is a lot to offer after your round. For the price, this is the best non-private course in the area.

Wasn’t very busy for a noon tee time and they let the other twosome tee off early so we had time to ourselves. The course was in great condition, challenging greens and a lot of water. The Palmer course is the “more forgiving” course. Those par 5s were brutal! Bring enough balls. Arrive early- the practice facilities are open but spread out.

Upon arriving, check in was well orchestrated. We promptly set out for a 4 minute cart ride to hit free range balls. All staff members were courteous and very pleasant. Tee time was spot on, no wait. The course was in superb shape. The fairways had excellent turf to hit off. The greens were a little slow, but each pin placement was challenging. All and all, a great day with money well spent.

Course was in great condition and I enjoyed the challenge. Players who are lower than intermediate level may find it more difficult than they are use to.

I've been wanting to play this course for a long time. Drove almost an hr from lakeland for the visit. Great layout on the course, greens were rolling great. Faiways & tees were nice as well. Definitely going to play there again!!

This resort has a great reputation and I thought the course and overall resort would be excellent. I was disappointed. For this price, I would play other courses instead.
