San Vicente Golf Resort

After driving over 45 mins to get there is find out that I'm playing by myself. Rather than match me with another group I get sandwiched between 2 4somes. No options were available to me due to a tournament going on. It was a nice course but was not enjoyable when you travel that far to play golf as a single.

It was Thanksgiving weekend and some badly needed rain was threatening. It arrived on the 18th hole, so there was no indication on where to leave the golf cart, so they just started topile up at the clubhouse. No body was there when we finished.

Course was fun and definately had ups, downs and turns omit. Careful shot placement was essential. We would come back again. Note, it was way out in the countryside, with a scenic drive in between. It was a great day.

Got the green fee from Golfnow hot deals. But the course itself can be compare to or better than premium golf courses that charge premium green fees, like Barona Creek. Staffs are friendly and courteous.

The course was fun to play. Not very tight and is nice for players who like more of an open layout. Course in great shape.

Staff was very friendly and accommodating.Let us go out early. Course is in very good condition. Well worth the drive from Encinitas.

Go play it , amazing shape

I had a nice time at this course. Nice layout, and is in pretty good shape.

Course is one of my favorites in the lower price range in San Diego. However, when I played, the course had just begun what looks like extensive irrigation / drainage work. A few tees were moved to the fairways so as to put the workers out of harms way. Which of course makes the holes a joke. I would call course before you make any plans to play there for next few months.

This was my first time playing San Vicente. What a great layout. Considering we are in a drought the course is in good shape. Greens are very well kept and roll true. I will most defiantly play here again. The staff is friendly and accommodating. Snack bar is well stocked. Overall a great day on the course.

Great overall experience. The course and pace of play was great. Couldnt have asked for a better round. Got a great deal with a meal included.

The course is in great shape right now. The fairways are lush, the rough is actually rough and the greens roll true. My only gripe about the place is how far it is away (50min). The price is right and the conditions are great, just too far away to play again any time soon.

I was looking for somewhere I hadn't played before and wasn't restrained by drive time. I took a chance on San Vincente as I had heard many good things about it over the years. I play mostly as a single and they couldn't have been nicer connecting me with other (local) players and even got me out an hour ahead of schedule.

The course was in very good shape, including well maintained tee boxes and greens. The greens were very quick but once you adapt to the speed that's fine.

There is enough water, dry creek beds, trees, etc. in and around the holes to keep it very interesting even to the better golfer. Course had plenty of wildlife with families of turkeys everywhere. I liked it so much I went back 2 days later and played it again. Will go back again.

Restaurant had very good food and drinks as well to finish up the round.

It was beautiful but a little hard for this beginner. Looking forward to playing it again when i get more experience. Play slowed down at a few holes.

I have played this course many times always in my top five, but yesterdays round the course was near perfect condition the best i have ever seen it my hats off to maintenance crew.

Many different hole challenges can be tough but very fair.

The greens were a little slow but true.

Saw a family of wild turkeys.

Will back soon,as always fix you're divots and respect the course.

Friendly staff upon checking. Computer was down but staff worked so there was minimal delay. Had good rental clubs and played 16 holes with two local gentleman. Course was payed out very well and very interesting from the back tees. Greens were quicker than they looked and rolled pretty good considering the amount of play they received. Would go back and play again.

Much improved course. Greens a bit slow, fairways very good and happy with all else. Best I've seen this course in many years. Congratulations to the staff!

It is a nice course with greens that roll very smooth. Two players jumped ahead of our 4-some because of slow play of the group in front of us. The marshal permitted this despite our protest, and the 4-some behind. Because of the two players aggressive push on the 3 senior players ahead of us, the senior players left the course! They were playing at a reasonable speed.

Keep everything to the mid left and you got a chance. Shots to right destroy your round. Pure shots rewarded.

I was staying at the nearby Country Estates so this was very convenient. Enjoyed the course and the clubhouse is a great place to eat.
