San Vicente Golf Resort

Golf course in great condition! Fairways are groomed nicely, putting greens superb. Quite a ways out from San Diego, but nice drive. Weather is perfect this time of year, temperature in mid-70's. Stopped by Barona for a nice dinner after the round.

Really enjoyed this course with my son-in-law and two of my friends. The course is in great shape. Saw wild turkeys...(only birdies I had a chance of hitting). Anyway, great time. And, never had to wait...in fact, never had anyone before or after us wait.

This is one of my favorite tracks and played as good

as it always does, but! the greens were still healing from being punched and did not roll true! But all thing considered, it was a great round and a great time! I will be back!

We played 9 holes late in the afternoon (3:15) on a Tuesday and had no one in front or behind us. Allowed us to play at our own pace. Played with my 90 year old father-in-law. The handicap flag allowed us to drive right up to his ball on most occasions and the course is well set up for a handicap player.

The course was challenging but fun, crowded but pace of play was good just over four hours. weather was great along with the scenery. Had to use every club in the bag I like that.

We've played this course numerous times and normally like it there. When we played yesterday it was very busy and we were lucky to even find a parking spot. The greens were dry and the landscape crew was watering them by hand not even pausing when we were on the greens. This happened many times so we were trying to avoid hitting them, putting through a lot of water, enough to create a rooster tail off our ball and we had to step over and try to avoid hitting the hose while on the greens. It was ridiculous!! Even though we mentioned that we shouldn't have to play around them they continued to be in our way. Also, there are signs stating that dogs are not allowed on the course, although we found two separate people walking their dogs on the course getting in our way. One gentleman with two dogs not even on a leash and another woman walking four (4)! dogs on the cart path. In addition, when we started out a golfer had his dog in the cart with him. These are not aid dogs!!! There were course employees riding around the course several times during the day but apparently they don't enforce the rules. The ladies restroom on the back nine had no running water so you couldn't even flush or wash your hands. This was our most disappointing experience with this golf course ever!!! Too bad, since we had seriously discussed getting a membership there.

Greens were good, a little firm and a little slow.. Fairways decent, layout was great. Pace of play was very good. Very enjoyable course.

Course was in perfect condition and very lush. Green were rolling smooth and fast.

San Vicente is a lovely course, well maintained and monitored.

Our T-Time was scheduled for 11:36 and it happened exactly on time. First Tee gave us a heads-up of what to expect. The weather was sunny and the temperature was around 65 degrees. The views were exceptional. Tee box was in great shape and the fairways were lush green and cut to perfection. The entire course was in the exact same shape. Despite the heavy rain we had for several days prior, the course had drained extremely well. The greens were all in fantastic condition and the ball ran fast and true. It was really impressive to be in San Diego and see a course in better shape than most of the private clubs! Best value in the entire county for playing experience, challenge, amenities, vistas and price!!

Pace of play was slow because of cart path only, so I walked the back nine. Course conditions were very good, and greens were in good conditions. Only complaint is that the round took a little over 5 hours.
