About
Whitney Oaks Golf Club in Rocklin sits just half an hour from Sacramento but the stunning landscape blanketed with thousands of live oaks feels much more secluded. In addition to the trees, massive granite outcroppings accent the course. It is both a visually stunning and formidable championship layout. The diverse topography is the focus, providing many challenges with the elevation changes and towering trees that line the narrow fairways. The rolling topography helped to determine the placement of the bunkers. Wetlands come into play throughout the golf course, also serving as home to numerous varieties of indigenous wildlife. The golf course finishes with a tough hole, a long par 5 that is flanked by wetlands on both the left and right. Whitney Oaks G.C. also has a practice facility with a 15-station driving range, a putting green, and pitching area.

Great Course with amazing staff
Course is starting to dry out a bit…not as lush and green as I recall. They had a course members tourney going on…so pace of play was painfully slow. Yes I played on a Saturday afternoon but a round exceeding 5 hours as a course like that was disappointing.
Will not deter me from returning again and again if the grass stays green…
2nd time was better
I played this course 2 or 3 years ago and did not like it. Lots of blind shots and blind trouble. But this time around I thought my way around much better and really enjoyed it. Very much a target golf course and if you miss fairways good luck.
Why play Whitney
Beautiful course, challenging greens, great staff. wonderful after round libations.
Always have to bring it here
Whitney is a very fine golf course. It’s mostly a good design with a few nonsense holes, #5 and #17 if you’re playing the Blue tees. It’s a tough test and you’ll lose a few here.
Bring Lots of Balls
Tough layout, you can lose a lot of balls once you are off the fairway.
Greens are in great shape.
The pace of play is not bad for the weekend.
Friendly Starter and Pro Shop Staff.
Hit off the grass on the Driving Range.
Great location
Shots out to the cart girl for always being there when needed.....

Hard, hard course
What a beautiful and fantastic course. Every bit of grass was well maintained and the greens ran fast. You should know before coming here that this is a very challenging course and not for the faint of heart. Bring extra balls and thank me afterwards. The front 9 is definitely more challenging than the back 9.
I play here weekly
One of my favorite golf courses. If you play during the work week (Mon - Friday) you can expect less crowded, more leisurely golf.
Shop golf now for hot deals. The pro shop rack rate is $60.
Slow day
First 12 holes took 4 hours. We skipped 13 & 14 as we saw no one ahead. HOLES 15-18 finishes in 30 minutes. They need a Marshall out there badly.
