About
Whitney Oaks Golf Club in Rocklin sits just half an hour from Sacramento but the stunning landscape blanketed with thousands of live oaks feels much more secluded. In addition to the trees, massive granite outcroppings accent the course. It is both a visually stunning and formidable championship layout. The diverse topography is the focus, providing many challenges with the elevation changes and towering trees that line the narrow fairways. The rolling topography helped to determine the placement of the bunkers. Wetlands come into play throughout the golf course, also serving as home to numerous varieties of indigenous wildlife. The golf course finishes with a tough hole, a long par 5 that is flanked by wetlands on both the left and right. Whitney Oaks G.C. also has a practice facility with a 15-station driving range, a putting green, and pitching area.

The overall course is in very disappointing
condition. The aprons around the greens and approach areas are in terrible condition.

Great northern Cali Course
To whom this may concern, this place is awesome tucked in the Rocklin area up in the hills.....Top notch may need cart girl though throughout course very often just saying.....

Bring extra golf balls
Very difficult especially for the first few rounds. Course knowledge goes a long way. Difficulty of course slows the pace of play.

Best course in northern Cal
I’ve played here since 2003, and it’s by far the best course in Northern California in my opinion no wonder colleges pick this course for their tournaments. Hard only if you’re a hacker but fair, greens lightning fast don’t be above the hole. Great layout and amenities.

definitely a fun tuff course
course knowledge will definitely do you well here. the greens were rolling and this is first of February so it's wet. I would like to see how the course plays when it's dry.

All dried fairway grasses
Fairway grasses were all dried out and it was like playing on a bare ground. Disappointed.

Simply beautiful
Anytime you get a chance to play in this weather thank the lord we live in California and for golf. Course is coming along nicely but the greens are notoriously fast for this time of year. Overall great fun in the sun at a beautiful course.
