About
Whitney Oaks Golf Club in Rocklin sits just half an hour from Sacramento but the stunning landscape blanketed with thousands of live oaks feels much more secluded. In addition to the trees, massive granite outcroppings accent the course. It is both a visually stunning and formidable championship layout. The diverse topography is the focus, providing many challenges with the elevation changes and towering trees that line the narrow fairways. The rolling topography helped to determine the placement of the bunkers. Wetlands come into play throughout the golf course, also serving as home to numerous varieties of indigenous wildlife. The golf course finishes with a tough hole, a long par 5 that is flanked by wetlands on both the left and right. Whitney Oaks G.C. also has a practice facility with a 15-station driving range, a putting green, and pitching area.

Beautiful course
I wish golfers would repair their own divot and one more. It would help keep the greens in better shape.

Overbooked!
We had a 13:30 tee time. We got off on tie and everything went great for 9 holes...no one in front or in back of us!
Then we proceeded to the tenth tee...4 groups waiting....they booked a tournament that was 7 groups and 4 were waiting on the 10th tee.
We returned to the 1st tee to play the front 9 again....Sorry...three groups waiting there....I returned to the pro shop and explained the situation and the starter told me they have bookings till 5 that day.
The starter was nice and agreed to give us a "rain check" for the unused 9 holes....and we appreciated it!
Course was in great condition....
I've played this course many times and this is the first time anything like this has ever happened....

Awesome course!
In from out of town and was very happy with the round. Staff was super friendly. Layout was awesome with a lot of unique holes that required a smart play or risk reward shots. Greens were great looked like a few were punched a while back but didn't effect them.
Had my wife with me to just ride and they had no issue or riding fee as some courses do. Greenskeepers were out and we're very friendly and stopped working any time I was close.
I'm in from the central time zone and had no problem getting up for a sunrise start. That being said there was only one single in front of me so of course pace of play was ridiculously fast.
Lots of blind shots but gps on the course let's you know where the carts in front of you are.
Overall excellent couldn't be happier with a $50 round. Would have paid more.

Hot!!!
It was a hot day! But playing the course for the very first time, I just want to say that I thoroughly enjoyed myself and would definitely come back again! Maybe when the weather cools down a bit.

Great course but you have to know your distances and putt well to go low...a great time with my buddies though!.

Nice track but tough!
Could use some trimming as trees from the Blue tees can be very challinging. That said, great condition, great staff, great bar and a very tough course.

Excellent and challenging layout
Whitney Oaks is an excellent, well-designed and challenging layout. Can be hilly, with a lot of slopes, including the putting greens. Greens are very challenging. Every putt has a break somewhere. Condition was very good for both tees, fairways, and greens. Nice speed on the greens--not too fast, and not too slow. I will always come back to play, even with a 35-40 minute drive away from home.

July 5th
The course was in great shape. Only thing was if were trying to play from the tips, there was no options. They had not cut back some the tree for using the tips. No big deal. Course was in great shape, blues made it fun!
