Whitney Oaks Golf Club

I was very impressed with Whitney Oaks. Friendly staff, GPS carts, beautifully designed, all at a more than reasonable price. This place checked off all the boxes for me. Highly recommended for players that enjoy a challenging round of golf. Downsides: Hearing residents arguing in their backyard lmao. Looking forward to going back!

Was very happy with the condition of the course. The greens are in excellent condition and running fast. Looking forward to playing again Sunday.

gentleman at the front desk was great the course is in great shape even with the extreme heat greens were great and challenging the whole course is worth every penny just make sure you're ready to take some licks because it hands them out

Anytime you get to play golf it’ll be a good day regardless of what you shoot! Course is in great shape, greens good and pace of play was excellent today. Staff is extremely professional all the while very friendly. I’ll definitely be playing more often out here. Maybe even becoming a member.

course in great condition with great playing partner. very fast round in under 4 hours without being rushed. the course beat me again but it was fun.

It looks as though during the COVID-19 downtime the course hasn’t been maintained that well. Grass was well overgrown in fairways with weeds and greens were pretty slow but looked ok. Maintenance was tilling some fairways when I played so it was exceptionally beat up on a few fairways. Not worth $60 right now. Hopefully it comes back around to a higher level.

Every aspect is very nice here from staff to practice areas to the course itself. First 9 allows for a little more room to drive but some holes are still tricky and most involve uphill or downhill. The back 9 gets tougher with narrower tee shots. Greens are a little tricky but not diabolical. Conditions from tee to green are excellent. Great test but now for faint of heart.

I have played at this course many times over the last few years but this last visit, the staff made us feel very unwelcomed and consequently, we did not enjoy our round. First, the staff at the clubhouse was less than friendly, no greeting and all business with a straight face. I tried to exchange pleasantries and he didn't even respond, he was curt and told me what I owed and pointed me to the carts. I didn't think much of it and figured he was just pre-occupied.

We then went to the first tee, the starter was the one who ruined our day. He first started by asking if we're from the area. We responded that we've golfed here many times before but that we don't reside in the county. He then proceeded to go on an unfriendly rant about how people not from the county should not be allowed to golf at their golf course, indicating "we don't go golf at other at golf courses out of our county." He then went on to say that it's a shame that over 30% of their golfers recently are from out of the county and that it's making their golf course overcrowded. Finally, he sternly told us, almost in a scolding like fashion, that we need to clean up our cart when we're done. We decided to not say anything and ignore his comments.

We really felt like we weren't welcomed and as if they were doing us a favor. We were pretty upset the rest of the day and did not enjoy our round of golf feeling like we're 2nd class customers. We also decided that we will never visit this golf course again. I've also been telling all my friends about our experience and some of them shared similar experiences at this course.

Perhaps the management team may not care about a single golfer's comment but eventually the number of unhappy golfers will add up and ultimately it will affect their business down the road.

GREAT COURSE TO TEST YOUR SKILLS WITH VARIOUS LAYOUTS AND HAZARDS. COURSE IN GREAT CONDITION. LOVE TO PLAY IT TO TEST MY GROWING SWING SKILLS.

Came up from fresno and played with a friend who lives in Rocklin. Arrived an hour before our tee time and the gentleman in the pro shop moved us up so we could start earlier. The people in the snack bar were also prompt and very nice and had things that you could pruchase to take with you. We enjoyed the course and layout but it is definitely a course you have to play a couple times so you know where to hit and place your shots! Greens were rolling well and true but green placement was very important. I would love to play here again now that I've played here and looking foward to coming back. Had a great time!!

Course is in great condition and it’s just absolutely beautiful out there! Can’t beat the price for that kind of course! Can’t wait to go back!!
