Whitney Oaks Golf Club
About
Whitney Oaks Golf Club in Rocklin sits just half an hour from Sacramento but the stunning landscape blanketed with thousands of live oaks feels much more secluded. In addition to the trees, massive granite outcroppings accent the course. It is both a visually stunning and formidable championship layout. The diverse topography is the focus, providing many challenges with the elevation changes and towering trees that line the narrow fairways. The rolling topography helped to determine the placement of the bunkers. Wetlands come into play throughout the golf course, also serving as home to numerous varieties of indigenous wildlife. The golf course finishes with a tough hole, a long par 5 that is flanked by wetlands on both the left and right. Whitney Oaks G.C. also has a practice facility with a 15-station driving range, a putting green, and pitching area.

Whitney Oaks
Very slow pace of play was inconvenient and made it difficult to find a rhythm with shots.
Very nice experience
Interesting and challenging layout, some narrow fairways, some wide, some lay up holes, some blind corners but overall very nice experience.
Challenging Course
If you like to play a challenging scenic golf course, this would be the course for you to play. The fairways are narrow and the greens as we were told were running around 10 and none were flat. Rattle Snakes were present on the course per the Marshall though we didn't see any. Nice course to challenge your golf skills.
The greens are ridiculously difficult
The course was very nice and groomed. The greens are reachable within regulation from the white tee box. I rate this course very low because the greens are the most difficult I have played in a long time. It took the fun out of the round. 3 puts are the norm. Only 3 puts were made between our foursome outside of 3 feet and those were 4 foot puts. I will not play there again.
Well worth the money
Challenging course with great views.. played on a Saturday at 12 for 37 dollars.. can’t beat that!!course was in great shape also
whitney oaks

practice facility great very enjoyable ady
A great round
A realiy nice course but challenging. Would play it again.
Great Start to '18
The course said some fairways were being aerated. Turned out very few were. Greens were excellent. Fairways good. Overall, a very pleasant day!
The course is recovering from a bad winter. Paying half price through golfnow made better. Full retail price would not have been worth it.
The course layout is very challenging and requires your full attention at all times. Enjoyed the course. Perfect for practicing your concentration on your game.
Not so great
Wrong grass for the area plus slow play did not equal a good time. I will try again in the Summer and see how it goes.
Gardeners attitude
There must’ve been something in the water cause every staff except the cashier was rude especially the gardeners. I’ll never play this course again. Also we had cart path only on five holes.
Amazing course, great value.
This was the first time I've played this course, and I Have to say, it will not be my last. I frequently golf at Yocha Dehe in Brooks, CA, and I have to say, Whitney Oaks is not far behind in terms of experience. The course is challenging, but not frustrating. Even in iffy weather, the views were amazing. plenty of beautiful wildlife, and amazing homes surround the course. Driving past ruins, or a group of resting deer, is not something you expetect to see when enjoying a round of golf. Minor points of criticism would be the tee boxes are very rough. It would be nice to have consistency with the Tee boxes, fairways, and greens. Whitney Oaks hits 2/3, but the tee boxes are fall well short. Another issue, was the sprinklers went off on us while on the 10th green! Blasted me in the pants, and my buddy in the face. We laughed it off, but definitely not something that took away from the awesome experience.
Overall, this is one of the best courses I've played, and with Golf Now providing great deals, I will keep coming back.
