Whitney Oaks Golf Club

The greens are in good shape, but difficult! The fairways are brown due to winter and the grass going dormant, but it’s still a great course. It beats me up every time I play it, but I keep coming back.

This was a great surprise. I had heard that Whitney was just plain bad. I played years ago and it was fine but old management let it die. However the casino has taken over and you can tell. Greens are wicked but in great shape. Layout is very good and difficult from blues and even harder from black marker. (No tee markers for black) I can honestly say I enjoyed playing this course. Pace was fine on a Saturday. No starter after 12 makes me wonder a bit about staff. This may turn into a 5 star soon if the casino keeps it a priority. Well done.

The Whitney Oaks pro shop desk employee (a young Caucasian female) sent my cousin and I out behind 4 very slow and inexperienced golfers. It was a very long round and I won't be back to a golf course where the pro shop is robotic, ignorant and inconsiderate.

Whitney Oaks must have reworked some greens. They were in perfect shape. However, very, very difficult with the rolls and ledges. The greens were the most challenging I've played in a long time. Challenging; but also really fun! Course is in great shape for this time of year. Keep up the good work!

Terrific golf course. It's really more than "somewhat challenging," but not "extremely challenging." Love the layout (except for #5), and there is a true beauty in this course. My problem on this particular day was there were 2 "5-somes" ahead of my group and play was extremely slow. It is a tough course and putting a 5-some out on the course, let alone 2 of them back-to-back took some of the enjoyment away. I play several courses in the area, and the incident of the 5-somes won't keep me away from playing this terrific course.

No Marshalls...5.5 hour round ..ughhhhh...Full Price for torture...

The course was challenging in that it varied from hole to hole but kept it interesting in that same manner. We enjoyed the course and will be back.

The Course is fairly narrow in places. Greens were easy to ready and at a nice speed.

You need to be on your toes at all times. Easy to end up in bad places.

Accuracy is needed on most shots.

Always in great condition, clean layout. Feals like a private C.C .

Shot with 3 total strangers that day. Every hole was in perfect shape an had a blast shooting there. The GPS monitor in the cart was top notch an right on with distance and its use. For the money the course condition an the weather it was well worth shooting there always. The beverage cart was by several times which made it nice for the majority in our group. Price and the challenge are a super combo. If you have an A game that's the place you hope it shows up. I will be back soon.

Played here was freakin awful there was no marshal and apparently people today have forgotton about pace of play it was 5 1/2 hours absolute crap wont be back here anytime soon having to wait 15-20 minutes every shot was ridiculous

Got there they had no record of my tee time. Had to spend time working with them. Gratefully they were able to squeeze us in. Love the course great shape. 2nd hardest public course in the Sacramento area.

Great course from tee to green. They have placed the pins in some tricky spots but go straight at it with your irons to put it close. Pace was a little slow but no worries for a Friday.

Great course fit into this mountainous terrain, this course will make you think, several holes with barranca to cross. Risk/reward will challenge your game. you better know your yardages there will be layups. the greens were perfect speed for the undulation of the greens.
