Golfer Reviews
A good course but could do with some maintainance
Maintainable required specially at the tee boxes. A few tee boxes had patches of rough on them and it seemed as if I was teeing off from 1st cut. The greens were very nice but the pin locations were freakishly challenging.
Pasture everywhere
I am a big fan of the Robert Muir Graves designed Northstar up in Truckee and was looking forward to playing this track he designed in suburban Roseville. Let me say that I was stunned at the poor conditioning of the course.
You can see there was once a good golf course here, but that must have been long ago. There were very few cut fairways as I gazed upon hole after hole that looked like prime cow pasture. The course yields little roll due due to the thick, wet grass everywhere and thus plays longer and tougher than the blue tees that showed a 122 slope rating.
The greens were in good shape, but only a few were rolled in the early morning dew. The bunkers were hard as a rock, and many were filled near the brim with water. I would advise to head down the street and play Timber Creek in the Sun City development. That course charges about the same for green fees and is in very nice shape with a bunch of interesting holes.
First time playing Woodcreek. Nice course, great layout. The greens were the best I’ve played in awhile, very true. Sand traps and some fairways had massive puddles. Terrible service in the restaurant area. Pro shop staff was awesome though. Overall was a nice day and good course if the traps and fairways drained. Better to play in the summer. Will play again.
Sept 30 2017
If you have played woodcreek before you know what you are getting. If you have not played woodcreek before it is a fair layout in a great setting. For the middle of town you are surrounded by mature oaks, creeks, and just a great setting. The day I played the pace of play was great. Our foursome played fairly slow (about 4 hours) and we were never pushed and we never waited, surprising for a Saturday morning. The greens were great (recently punched so a little slow but very true) but the fairways were a little rough, lots of bare and burnt spots.
Woodcreek;always fun and in good shape
We like to play different courses each week. and always come back to Woodcreek from time to time. The course is challenging but fair. It is always in good shape and fun to play. Legends Bar and Grill is a great on sight place to have a drink and tavern-fare. This is a can't miss quality course..
Can't judge book by its cover
On first look his place has all the hallmarks of a CC quality track. Nice clubhouse, restaurant and practice facilities. Once we got going we found way too many dead spots along the fairways with a consistent presence of thin lies. However, the greens were in overall good shape and rolled true. The traps we're about 50/50 with some ok and some either flooded or heavy with soil. The layout has many blind corners and without course knowledge it's a coin flip as to whether you should lay up or go for it. The yard marker poles aren't a guideline for "Position A" with regards to your approach shot as is the case with other tracks. Maybe March to June would be a better time here. Oh, don't forget to get your $5 cart key deposit when you're done!
Enjoyable Course
The course was in nice condition.....well maintained from tee to green. Straightforward and challenging. Highly recommend.

All carry
Turn the water down in the fairways. . No roll. Have standing water in collection areas around green complexes. We don't need spring like green in august.
Greens roll fine.
Good condition, slow play
The course is in very good condition and have a couple of challenges, which is needed for a good rating.
Good course needs work
I've played here a bunch and usually enjoy it. The bunkers are in need of a lot of work, poor drainage, gravel in the sand, soil mixed with the sand. Clear the brush in front of 3 tee. Redo the 5th hole. Maintenance is good for a public course
New layout
Course was in good condition on a perfect day. Both greens and fairways in very good shape. Course layout is fairly challenging; but scoring is helped by lack of OOB.
