Woodcreek
The course was fabulous, but the wind was horrible!
decent value, convenient course
For me this is a very convenient course to play. When i play Woodcreek i know i am getting a course that will always be in pretty good shape, fairways and greens usually play really well. The price is a little high for a public course but you can save some by walking. It is a very easy course to walk. I also find myself hitting a wide variety of shots and different clubs, not every hole is a driver wedge, which is nice.
Spend your money eleswhere
The staff was so rude I can't believe they maintain the course with these people. Ride up on you at the tee screaming by on golf carts while your trying to hit the ball. Starter and helper were so rude I question the management for choosing them to represent the course. Over all I WILL never spend any money here again.
good times at wood Creek
I like coming here it has great scenery and i see Wild Turkey on the course every time that I have played here . They have friendly staff and all around nice people that I have met on the course and good food. Go Georgia Bulldogs!!!!!
Great day playing golf
First the pro shop and grill staff are attentive, friendly and efficient. Very few areas of dead grass due to drought. Worst hole is #5: Powerline Nightmare. Even after playing it dozens of times, it is still hard as heck to make par. I was paired with three great guys and saw an eagle and a few birdies!!
On a good day
When weather is good, and the course is in good shape, this is a nice day. Not life changing. Nice.
Watch tbe power lines
Fun, challenging but extremely fair course. Almost always in good condition and very friendly staff. Seems to always have a beverage cart which is rare these days on most courses during the week.
very nice
Other than the greens having a recent punch the course was great I live in redding and we only have 1 public / private course to play so a new track is always nice
very hard to find balls in the rough
hit many balls just off the fairway, and had an extremely hard time locating them in the rough
6 hr round on a sunday
it was the longest round I ever played.. I play here a lot but it was really bad this time. I just think they booked to many people at the same time or something..
also we were supposed to get a free bucket as advertised, but we had to pay for the ones we got..
not happy at all
When I checked in I was told the range was closed yet my deal on golf now included range balls. I was also not told anything about having to play only the front 9 twice due to the back being closed.
This was just poor business in my eyes.
The restrooms were NASTY and with that being said. I will never book a tee time ther e again.
All this being said, Diamond Oaks and Wood creek are both ran the same way terrible.
slowest round ever
The cost to play this course was extremely reasonable...BUT, the pace was slower than ever and the course marshal was pretty useless at getting it to speed up. The group in front of us had two children along, running all over the greens and being allowed to hit balls as they went along. At one point, we had three groups waiting on the tee. It was a Sunday and it is a city owned course but I don't know that I would go back and play if my tee time was after 9:00am
Woodcreek
Great course for the money. Greens fees include cart and small bucket of balls to warm up. Played in four hours when the course was pretty busy
Golf with a friend
Great day weather perfect and the retired man who played with us was very enjoyable to have,we also had a very fun round.
Slow play at a decent facility
We were stuck behind a group of four foursomes, a "tournament" of guys who rarely played and drank too much. The starter tried to move them along, but as usual, are always afraid to upset potential future customers. Round took over 5 hours, and this is not first time this happened at Woodcreek. Will definitely ask next time before booking time. other than that i like the course, not too much trouble.
Great course
Friendly staff, course conditions very good, large food menu, fun course
Great course among many in area
Course is in pretty good shape. Greens are a combination of two grass types so ball hopped a lot. Love the course though. Great layout with challenging hole designs. Good staff as well.
PLease take care of your golf course
I do understand that maintaining a golf course is difficult and expensive. And it seems to me that Woodcreek is not willing to put forth any effort whatsoever in maintaining what was once a jewel of a Roseville course in the early 2000's. The greens on the front nine were riddled with poanna, and extremely slow and bumpy. The sand traps do not have an ounce of sand in them. I would call it soft thin layer of dirt. The pace of play is ridiculously slow and there wasn't a Marshal to be seen all day long! And this was on a Saturday, when the rate rate is at a premium!
All this before their so called Big Game tourney in which they had the gall to charge $84 when far superior courses were charging $50 and less. Very very disappointing! I will not be playing Woodcreek again anytime soon.
SUNNY JAN. DAY
Great Price , employees very helpful and Lucky the Weather was a TEN
each nine has its own character
3 nine hole courses. Lakes course as you could guess has water through out the course great challenges. The oaks has oak trees scattered all over the course adding to the challenge and decision factors for each shot. The other nine didn't play. The courses run through a neighborhood but the houses are far enough away to most of time stay out of play un less you bring your big slice or hook with you. Very enjoyable staff and locals that play there all the time. Will definitely play there again.
