9th hole on Canyon. One of the most picturesque holes on the course. Tough hole that plays into the wind. Photo submitted by aliikane10 on 07/14/2017

Top Course
I would rate this as my second best course played in Bay Area after Half Moon Bay! Played Mountain and lake courses, wish to play Canyon Course in the future. Staff was friendly and the starter hut was also friendly and cooperative. Ease of booking with Golf Now was amazing! Thanks a lot!
Great golf course!
This course is quite demanding but fair. You have to really select proper clubs for every shot because the greens are super fast and demand perfect pace. It's an amazing piece of property and every ho!e is unjque. It should be in everyone's list in the Bay area! The only hiccup was the fact we finished about 15 minutes late from when carts were due at 6:15, but we were never informed of this at check in.. With a 2:40 fee time we got to the 18th in minimal light but managed to finish at 6:25. Yes, the pace of play Monday afternoon was great! We received a text on our screen that the carts are due for return in a timely manner. I figured playing the last hole quickly in 10 minutes was "timely" for the return. The course rep met us driving in from the last hole and sco!red us for being late. He insisted we were told to return carts by 6:15, but we never were. I told him this and said that it was news to us but that we would make sure in future rounds we would respect the finish time if we are notified when we check in.
My favorite course
Course is in great condition. Very challenging with fast greens.
Excellent course
Definitely the premier public golf course in the South Bay. Great shape but tough. Would say for more of a mid to low handicap player or gonna be frustrating. Course is in fantastic shape and greens are fast. Very fast. Excellent bunkers and beautiful views. They have great happy hour specials and food has always been delicious. Sometimes service is a little slow. Both indoor and outdoor seating available. Highly recommend to challenge a consistent player.
The Best Greens Around
This was a great course and very challenging!!
I felt like I was playing at a PGA championship course compared to most tracks I play around the Bay!!
Tough Golf Course
What a beautiful and very tough golf course. Those greens are so fast, and when the wind kicks up you are in trouble. I can’t wait to go back.
Great first experience
I enjoyed the challenging layout of Cinnabar. It kept the game interesting and required strategic shots, making it a great experience for golfers of all skill levels.
The pace of play was perfect for my 8AM tee time. We didn't feel rushed, and there was no frustrating waiting around.
Excellent course
Tough but fair course. Not for the weekend hacker. Course is in fantastic shape and greens are well manicured but fast. Scenic views of the valley and delicious food round out a phenomenal golf experience. Best public course in the South Bay.
Nice course
Course was great, but got stuck behind slow foursome.
Beautiful Course
This is such a beautiful golf course but very tough. The greens are so fast and very firm. I couldn’t even get a lob wedge to stop, so I just aimed for 10-15 yards short of the plan when I could and that seemed to work out pretty well. I can’t wait to go back.
Still Haven’t Played Lakes
Been here 20x, never gotten to play the Lakes. Amazing stat, considering it’s also over a 20 year period…it just turned 25?
When playing (a few times a week and well), course is like any other, and gettable. As a +2 who HAS played with LPGA pros, this course has it all. My feeling is that I still may lose to a TOUR LGPA member easily…
When having had a time off playing like a month or two or more, this place will eat you back up.
Having played only 18 of the 27, 180 holes gives me a good idea…
Play well. You won’t score otherwise.
Cinnabar Hills is a Gold Mine.
Cinnabar Hills is as good as golf gets in the coastal mountains of California. The 3 distinct nine hole courses (Lake, Mountain and Canyon) are all breathtaking with elevated tees, expansive fairways and undulating fast rolling greens. A “Must Play”.
Dry Greens
I love this course but the greens were so dry and very firm. I wish they would either put more water on them or don’t cut them so short. Like putting on concrete.
