Walk in the footsteps of pros at the Inverrary Country Club. Robert Trent Jones Sr. designed the golf courses at this club.
The legendary East Course is the signature course, where 15 PGA and LPGA tournaments were played including the Honda, the Jackie Gleason - Inverrary Classics, the Tournament Players Championship and the LPGA Phar-Mor Classic.
It is in excellent condition and is characterized by large, rolling greens, multiple tees, strategically placed bunkers, and lots of water. Its length from the championship tees is over 7100 yards.
The 7th hole is frequently mentioned as among the best par threes in Florida. Playing 199 yards from the back tee, it's all carry over water to a green that is angled in such a way as to look far smaller than it is in reality.

Nice vintage course
Excellent experience! Good & friendly staff, nice carts, good course condition. The only problem we had was slow service getting a sandwich at the turn. It took about 15 minutes, which almost caused a problem when we went back out to # 10. i will likely come back next time I am vacationing in area.
Good Value / Good beer
The course has improved in the last few months. The sand traps are definitely better. The fairways have a few bare spots but tees and green are in pretty good shape. Made it around in 4-1/2 hrs.
A good day
I'm not sure what the negative reviewers expected, but I found a public course with good fairways, excellent greens and decent bunkers. Staff were friendly and made me feel welcome as a single. Good value for the money and I will be back.

Just OK
Course older and not kept up.like most RTJ courses lots of bunkers just in front of greens. Greens did not hold well and fairways not in good shape.
Have played it because of its history- the course needs work, sparse grass in fairways ( more like lightly grasses mud many times)
Weeds rampant in the rough, greens covered in a half inch of sand in spots
Beverage cart ( a golf cart with a couple of coolers on it) never even slowed down as she zoomed around the course- blew past us both times!
Challenging holes, greens good.
There have been some changes made as far as bushes etc. Grounds surrounding various holes have not been kept up and give the course a look of not being taken care of, but the fairways are ok, sand traps have sand and the greens are in very good condition . One problem, which I have not run into previously on this course was that the bathrooms were still locked through at least the first half of the round. Other then that minor inconvenience, course is of average difficulty with a few tough holes.

One of those older courses with a great layout that is worn but a great value
Don't pay more
This golf course need more investments, Only their greens are in good shape. There is no bathroom open on a golf course. My wife was very happy about that.
Hard fairways with little grass.
Good if you just want to practice after picking your clubs after a few months. Greens look with long grass but good speed.
