Walk in the footsteps of pros at the Inverrary Country Club. Robert Trent Jones Sr. designed the golf courses at this club.
The legendary East Course is the signature course, where 15 PGA and LPGA tournaments were played including the Honda, the Jackie Gleason - Inverrary Classics, the Tournament Players Championship and the LPGA Phar-Mor Classic.
It is in excellent condition and is characterized by large, rolling greens, multiple tees, strategically placed bunkers, and lots of water. Its length from the championship tees is over 7100 yards.
The 7th hole is frequently mentioned as among the best par threes in Florida. Playing 199 yards from the back tee, it's all carry over water to a green that is angled in such a way as to look far smaller than it is in reality.

The green are very nice and vey fast on the West course
The fairway are good but you have to stay on because the grass along fairway is very poor and the car pats are horrible. Also there is no sand on 50% of the bunker and it's very difficult to hit the bal correctly.
A little tired....Still good
Played the east course in good weather. Greens were in excellent condition. Fairways were thin with very tight lies common. Bunkers are in need of sand . Overall experience was good.
OUTSTANDING
we played the east course
fairways were very good...
greens were the best !! large smooth and fast.....the best we've putted on in Fla in yrs.
i highly recommend this course....we actually cancelled our tee time at another course for the next day so we could play this one again
Great place
For the money you can't beat it. The greens are in great shape. Bunkers were a little thin but playable. I have payed the east side several times and will make sure the next time will be on the west. Great value
Inverrary Good for the Money
First time playing the West course. It is in fair to good condition. Some areas could use attention but nothing to affect the game drastically. Greens are very good. My only comment would be on the sand traps. It seemed that the front nine were softer and the back nine were very hard. What was I doing in the sand anyway? you may ask. They do come into play a lot in this course. I would play it again.
Gleason's course
I don't think Jackie Gleason would be to pleased with the conditions. Needs TLC. Many areas in need of fuller grass around the greens so you can chip better.
Nice nostalgia if you are a Jackie Gleason fan
We choose this as our first round in the SE Florida area on vacation. My husband is a big fan of the late Jackie Gleason. He enjoyed seeing his cart in the clubhouse as well as all of the old Honda Classic tournament winners. The staff were most friendly, the course has definitely seen its hey day come and gone. Challenging layout, but needs much work to be a nice tract. The bunkers had not be groomed in some time, grass was sparse in places, and the pace of play was slow. We waited 5 or more minutes on every hole, hard to get into a good rhythm. Maybe would be in nicer shapes little later in the spring.
Home of Jackie Gleason
I like the layout. Current course conditions are just fair due to rains. We try to golf this course at least once every time we are down there.
Golf friendly
Was nice to play & the pace was good.
Would play it again......
EXCEPTIONAL WEST COURSE
TERIFFIC GREEN ON A SUNNY WINDY DAY
GREAT TIME
Ralph & Larry
One of the great "old" courses with lots of history. Would definitely play it again.
BAD
Course in very bad condition. Partly due to recent rain but mostly to lack of maintenance .Pawleys
A One-time beauty that aged poorly
Always interested in playing this course because of its rich golf history but should have been wary of how inexpensive it was. The layout is great but the condition of the fairways is poor with rough patches of grass. However, the greens surprisingly are in good shape. And the design of the Par 3s is a real test of golf. Overall, this once championship course has not aged well- broken car paths- and I would not recommend it except for a trip down memory lane.
Not going back
Old course with a good layout from 50+ years ago. The greens are still pretty good but the tees and fairways are not. It was very slow as this course gets a lot of play. Played for $49 but TPC Eagle Trace is often on for $59 which is a much better course.
Good for the money
For 50 $ it's worth the money i be playing again the course
Great course
Very challenging for the average golfer. Every hole plays longer than it looks which is a challenge and could easily cost you a stroke or two!
Excellent
We love this course it is very well maintained. Great area.
wonderfull experience
nice weather, good company, a very nice golf course with good challenges, that I always have pleasure to play. I'll comme back to play it for sure.
Great greens
The course condition was good, great greens , average fairways and poor, patchy tee areas.
Great course
GCourse was in great condition. Greens were perfect, soft yet fast!
Played the EAST today. Greens were very fast but in very good condition. Putting in new sod on many tee boxes so tees were moved up - good that they were taking the time to do that. Not a long hitter so it plays long with many traps protecting the greens - no roll-ups.Was excellent value and will play again soon.
