Walk in the footsteps of pros at the Inverrary Country Club. Robert Trent Jones Sr. designed the golf courses at this club.
The legendary East Course is the signature course, where 15 PGA and LPGA tournaments were played including the Honda, the Jackie Gleason - Inverrary Classics, the Tournament Players Championship and the LPGA Phar-Mor Classic.
It is in excellent condition and is characterized by large, rolling greens, multiple tees, strategically placed bunkers, and lots of water. Its length from the championship tees is over 7100 yards.
The 7th hole is frequently mentioned as among the best par threes in Florida. Playing 199 yards from the back tee, it's all carry over water to a green that is angled in such a way as to look far smaller than it is in reality.

Excellent
This differently a course I will be adding to my list. Greens , fairways, tee boxes all in excellent shape. Book a tee time here and you won't go wrong.
It's A Golf Only Place
The place is pretty run down. Cart paths are like riding on a roller coaster. Greens were actually not too bad. Tee boxes needed mowed. Course layout was actually pretty nice. Staff all nice. They employ a ranger but I have no idea why. No way to tell course layout - no photos on card; no book of course; so as first time players we didn't really know where we were going. However, we ended playing a couple holes with a friendly elderly local and a couple other holes with 2 very good golfers so there was a extra ray of sunshine on an otherwise unremarkable golf course.
Great layout
excellent all the way
weather a little too hot but that is expected this time of year
Enjoyable round
We arrived just after a heavy morning rain. As luck would have if, the gods cleared the weather for the sole purpose of our golf round. The course drained well, thanks Florida sand. The greens were very quick, which presented a challenge in comparison to many of the local courses. I loved the layout, challenging bunkers and a couple downright evil pin locations.
Beyond some spots in need of repair, the day was great. I felt bad for the pro shop attendant, the AC was in need of repair and it smelled like 1954 inside. She was kind despite the intoxicating odor.
Starters and Marshall all in good spirits. Mid day during the the week so there was no one in front of us.
Best couese
If you live in south Florida. You know summer golf is hit or miss with heat rain and lighting.
Inverrary is the best course I found that is like New York courses with out hills. The landscaping is the best. Shade is a commodity in Florida in the summer. With fare skin there is shade to be found on every hole. I take play there anytime. Away we go.
Good day - nice course - good value
Nice round - although very warm and slow play
Great greens at Inverrary East
This coarse has some of the best conditioned greens in south Florida. With aerations going on during the summer now, greens are in all kinds of states of recovery. But Inverrary greens are in perfect condition. The coarse has a nice layout, with mature trees. The fairways are in good condition. The bunkers were the only negative. Due to recent rainy weather, the bunker sand was very compact and are to hit out of. After the round we had a nice ice cold beer in the bar.
Great value for the money
A great layout and tough but fair....they used to host Honda Classic here. Need I say more?
Everything was solid except the tee boxes
Solid course. Play it often. 6500+ from the blues. Fun layout. Challenging. Tee boxes need some TLC that's all.
Time warp/ but in a good way.
This course is a great value for the price. The east course feels completely like you are On the best course 1980 had to offer. Massive 50 yr old trees canopy the landscape. Clubhouse is like a museum. Cart girl is always available. Drinks are cheap-food is too(sometimes free) with a weekday round. Staff is unpretentious and accommodating. Great way to time hop for less than $20. (Only down side, course gets super flooded in some areas so go out on a dryer day).
The course is long and not easy to play
The green were little bit slow. They used to be little bit faster and some of the holes we're not and great conditions
Great Deal
Played 18 on the east and then 18 on the west and got lunch for $35. Not a bad deal. Only major negative was a lack of yardage markers, especially on a couple of par 3s
This course is great
The course is designed and maintain well. The greens are fast and the fairway were plush and green. Enough hazard to make the play very interesting. Everything was great but one bathroom was out of service which made it inconvenience. I enjoyed playing it a lot.
Nice greens
This is a fun course and in good condition. The greens were in great dhape. My only complaint is the starter let off a bunch of twosomes in between foursomes so we had guys breathing down our neck but we had no way to play any faster and no way to let them go ahead.
peppstor
What a course! Can'y wait to get back to Florida and play it again!
Good vale
I played an early Wednesday morning an had the course basically to ourselves. The staff was very friendly helped me with my clubs and check in was fast. The pro shop could use a lot of help. It is kind of dingy and quite frankly smelled damp. I've been playing here going on 15 years and I like the layout of both courses. Please put better yardage markers! Overall a good experience
Tired course
First course I played in Florida and I was not impressed . Dark, musty smelling clubhouse with a bored pro shop attendant. Greens were excellent, fairways, not so much. An average course.
old but good
course is layed out nice , par 3's over water . greens roll true and fast
