East at Inverrary Country Club

Enjoyable round, friendly people, good pace. Course is suitable for all levels of play.

For golf in this area it was a good value - nice enough weather, good greens, and OK fairways. There were not enough carts to go around so the rather rude cart guys would look at you with disdain if you wanted to load up a cart, say, 15 minutes before your tee time! Ridiculous! The folks behind the pro shop desk were great though and the weather made it enjoyable to play. The pace of play was very slow, so we couldn't finish a round due to darkness when we started at 1:50. I'm sure there are much better courses around, but not for $40-45 this time of year. With more TLC it could be great though. No walking at all - carts mandatory.

I thoroughly enjoyed playing this course. It plays long and the tree cover makes the angles to the greens difficult on approach if you miss the fairways on either side. Watch for the pin positions on the Par 3's and know your club yardage well.

Inverrary is really "down at heel" from the Club House which needs serious re-decoration, to the practice facilities etc. And do they really need the lady who cooks and sells "barbecue", shouting her wares as though she is in a market somewhere?

The surroundings of the course aren't much to look at either. In many cases badly maintained condos.

But - in spite of the environment - the course was OK and we had a good game. It is not at all expensive so I suppose you get what you pay for. A mere shadow of former glory though!

The indication , on the course, are very poor.
On the score card, it have not a picture of the holes.
On the course,the indication for the next holes
are really déficient.
Also,at the beginning of each holes, habitually we
find a picture of the hole. But not at that course.
It means that, when you play for the first time,
you don't know where you have to go and what
is on the hole. (sand,water,dog leg ect.)

While many prefer playing the East (Old Tournament Course) the West has its features and challenges. The course was wet from overnight rain requiring cart path only. This caused the pace of play to suffer. For all the water from the day before the greens were still quick and the fairways in good shape.

To appreciate your " A " game, its a test of all your skills on these two golf courses. In top shape, healthy greens, choice of tees; although I played the blues on a windy day, some holes are giving and forgiving, and some are punishing even from the middle of the fairway. Will be your day if you score good.

Even with the rain for 2days prior to our round, the course was is great condition. Occasional sand traps had water but most of the course was is good shape. Over all conditions are better this year than last. Perhaps because of the extra rain. Greens were fast as I like them and manageable. Great time.

Good place to play, nothing great, but fairways, greens, and tee box's were good. Good staff friendly and a great lay out. This was once home too many tour events and the layout is great.

The layout is good and challenging but the course condition is not what you would expect for a premium price.

It's ok to play it for the upper $10s to lower $20s.

Course was in good condition. Played the round in 4 hours. Very good value for the price

because of the rain in the last days, some holes were very wet but beside that the course was in shape. we enjoyed our day.
