Golfer Reviews
Great course for the price
Coming from Quebec, Canada. I’m used to the soft ground and everything that we have up there. First course played in Florida. The ground is in ok shape, really dry and the fairway are tight, next to some road and houses. But overall, for the price, this course is good!
Great Course
I’m a mid-handicap senior woman golfer and I played this course well. The part 4s and 5s were reachable from the forward tees. The par 3s were challenging and I hit a few, the others like hole #17 I had to go to the drop zone.
Greens and fairways were in great shape and all the holes were marked well for first timers.
Only opportunity was there wasn’t a full driving range, just a net to hit irons into, but at least you could warm up your full swing.
Good golf
Pace of play for a 10:25 tee off was excellent.Course was well maintained and thr greens were rolling true.Stau in the fairway balls all difficult to find with the leaves.4 stars
"The Babe"
Always a pleasure to go to The Babe. From the front desk, to the starter to the Food Service workers personnel working there are always friendly and professional. Course was in good shape, still need to get some more grass in the fairways. Pace of play was great....Sure wish there were windshields in the carts. Will definitely return
Short, but nice course
I was vacationing in the Tampa area and was just looking for a quick round to play. The course was in decent shape. It was a good thing that I was playing with others, who played their regularly as they were a few sharp, dog legs and blind shots. Nevertheless, overall it was a good course, and a good value.
Good Course Layout
The course was in good condition and a challenging layout. Sand traps need attention. The greens were good but fairways a little thin in areas. Overall experience was good. The staff in the clubhouse was great.
Great Golf!
Everything was really perfect. The staff is super friendly. The course is nice, well maintained and great layout. We've played here a few times and will continue to..
Could use some TLC
Babe Zaharias was a so-so track. Short course with a good layout but conditions were poor. Very little grass on tee boxes, fairways and even around the greens - mostly just dirt and dead spots. Greens were a bit bumpy but not terrible. Certainly wasn’t nice enough to even justify $45 per person at 3 PM. Also, there’s no driving range to warm up on - just a hitting net behind the cart barn. Overall I’d avoid if there’s tee times available elsewhere.
mike
for a older public course it plays ok the greens roll better than they look if you want to play a cheaper course it is a good value pace of play was not terrible
