Babe!!!!
This old golf course has charm! The people are great! It’s a short course, but so much fun! We got paired up and the 2 guys were fantastic! What a great day!
good value course
you get a good bang for the buck with this course. solid greens, decent layout , some challenging holes. average bunkers, and some of the rough is more like concrete but keep it in short stuff and its a good course. no rangers or starters so things got a little backed up and lots of confusion as they were starting people on 10 but not everyone got the memo
The Babe was Beautiful
Course was in great condition, Greens rolled true, The staff was very personable and welcoming
Brent nance
Great course would definitely play it again if in the area
Purse in grey shape. All the rye grass has grown in nicely. Greens were a little slow but not terrible rolled true. Course can be challenging if not in fairways. Older course so all the trees are huge so stay in the fairway.
Nice Layout
This is obviously a popular spot for local golfers. Tees were in good shape. Fairways were a bit dodgy at times in terms of grass coverage. Greens were consistent and a decent speed. I enjoyed this course and will look forward to playing it again.
Apparently a pesticide or weed killer had just been applied and parts of the course were bright blue. Even though I avoided all of the obvious blue grass areas, I left with a terrible red contact dermatitis rash on my lower legs that has always been associated with a poison. I play golf frequently and have not had this issue since courses used dioxin, which is now banned. I can’t afford to play there again because of your use of toxic chemicals.
Good Course, tests your accuracy
Play here many times, many good attributes about this course:
Very nice people in pro shop, friendly and helpful.
Fairways in good condition.
Pace of play is fair to good.
If you are a single they will pair you in a group.
Back Nine has some very challenging holes with narrow landing areas for drives and water between greens and fairways.
There are a couple of things about the course that I don't like:
The greens are very slow and hard to judge speed. Every time I play with a group of good golfers, everyone struggles with putting.
They need to clean up the leaves on the sides of the fairways, difficult to find balls.
We like this course
We rotate to The Babe about every other month. Would play it more often but it is a lengthy drive for us. Nice course that is fun to navigate. Greens were slippery for our outing, but we got used to it.
