About
Located just 20 minutes from downtown in the Forest Hills section of Tampa, Babe Zaharias Golf Course meanders through a tree-lined residential neighborhood. The golf course measures a modest 6,020 yards, but should not be taken lightly. Although both nines on "The Babe" are par 35, the back side sports four par-4 holes in excess of 400 yards, providing a challenge for golfers of all skill levels.

1st time since the greens renovation
Always like the Babe, not necessarily a destination course but fun to play. Greens were really quick on a very windy day. Greens were great, fairways were good, edges and under the trees were the Babe, .
Spent time in the renovated snack bar and lounge and enjoyed the friendly atmosphere and service. Good day at the Babe.
The Babe has gone down
Course conditions have gone down dramatically since the last time I played it a couple of months ago. After the hurricanes it was in the best shape I had seen it in for years. Now it is in awful shape. The fairways are dirt ways with dead grass and dirt.
Decent layout of course but lacks privacy
Several instances where we had to wit to tee off due to have pedestrians in the fairway from the neighborhood crossing through the course. I was under the impression it was private property but none of the people in the neighborhood didn't seem to care constantly walking and riding bikes through the fairway. Saw two different people on bikes ride to holes with water to try to steal golf balls out of the water. Lots of distractions and little to no privacy. I prefer more privacy and wooded areas for courses to allow for an escape this one felt like golfing through downtown tampa.
Great round
One of my favorite courses to play when in Tampa. New greens were installed back in October. Course was in really good condition considering the damage from the hurricanes. Super friendly staff who delivered our food to the tee box because it was not ready when we made the turn.
Course ok, nothing special. Greens were fast - nice.
Nice Course
Greens are very good. Fairways have some rough spots. Good experience
Brilliant staff
Check in guy, starter, bev cart lady, and cart guys did a great job. The course is in good shape. The greens were redone approx 6 months ago and are ok. Just need to grow in a little more. The course is old style and therefore, tight. Target golf. No range. the warm up cage needs some work after hurricanes. Overall, had a great day. Fix your pitch marks.
Beautiful Saturday Afternoon
Played 9 holes and the course and staff were great. Course was in great condition and greens were rolling fast. Nice Saturday afternoon.
Greens are quick
We like this course, very much. In places, the course is still recovering from recent hurricanes, but is coming back to life. Greens are fair, but very quick, which takes some getting used to. The greens are newly refurbished with new undulations, some of which are fun. We'll be back!
The course was in great shape. Greens would hold and putt straight. Sand traps around the greens were soft and full. Lots of challenging holes.

This course is quite challenging, even from the forward tees....nice fast greens, fairways cut close and with minimal bare spots, but a fair amount of water hazards that will catch an errant shot...overall, the nice course to play and worth the drive from Port Richey.....
