The Babe is Back!
The new greens are awesome! The rest of course is in the same condition as it always has been. The fairways and tees are typical condition for an affordable public course in Tampa (crabgrass and hardpan). Fun layout!
Great value round
Friendly staff, good food, course was paced well and in good condition. The greens were outstanding, recently replaced so they were great but firm. Overall a great value round.
Quite An Enjoyable Round of Golf
Kudos to TSA for the new greens at Babe Zaharias. They are both true and fast. Factoring in hurricanes Helene and Milton, the course condition was excellent. Many trees are down, but all fairways were clear even though some had ground under repair due to prior flooding from overflow of ponds. The weather was perfect, the pace of play was perfect and the staff (especially the restaurant staff) were awesome. Definitely looking forward the playing again.

I recently had the pleasure of playing on the newly designed and developed greens at Babe Zaharias. The updates to the greenside bunkers were particularly impressive, contributing to an exceptional golfing experience. The course is very well-maintained, with immaculate fairways (except 1st & 10th hole) and tee-off areas. Overall, the enhancements have elevated the quality of the course, making it a highly recommended destination for golf enthusiasts.
greens 9.5/10 everything else 3/10
greens are absolutely amazing , some of the best ive seen, but, the rest of the course is terrible fairways and tboxes look like the median of I75, no range, t times are super close so pace of play isnt that fast and for a 60$ course id expect alot better.
Under going renovations
All 18 holes have temporary greens and the fairways are aerated. They are almost done with the greens so by next month they should be fine. I can’t wait to see the course when it’s done.

Rough shape
I went to play on 9/2 as a twosome and we found the course to be in a really rough shape. For starters the greens were being renovated and we did not get a warning before booking. But this would’ve been fine if the fairways weren’t in horrible condition. We found that there was no point in putting on the temporary greens because of the shape. We also found that most of the course was overgrown and it did not seem to meet our expectations, especially for the amount of people and the fact that it was Labor Day weekend. Hopefully the course will be better once the greens are renovated but for the first time playing the course it was disheartening.
Temporary greens
Beware, temporary greens in the fairways for all 18 holes. I’ve never seen a course do all of their greens at once like that. Oughta be cheaper than $22. Staff was great tho.
No greens
They have been re-doing the greens for months now. There are only temporary greens in the fairways and the grass is not cut down to anything like a green. Really un-puttable. Takes about 1/2 the game out of play. They are supposed to re-open the greens in Oct.
