Rogers Park Golf Course

It’s a hack course… people in running shorts and tee shirts. No one trying to keep the pace going. Front was good, then we stopped to get something in the club house that took forever. All downhill from there, had so young hacks in front of us that must have never played golf, holding everyone up with their 30 yard shots. Then on the 17th they run back to us and say we’re sorry we are slow we have 100 bucks on this game. They hacks should not have been playing a full round, let alone for money. They should have been on the driving range learning how to hit the ball. More of a 25-30 dollar course, it was way over priced. The short course looked better.

Too much money for what the course is. It’s a 30 dollar at best course. Nothing to the layout, and no one yelling about the pace. Front was quick, but went in the grab dog to take on the back 9, which took forever to get. Then we got suck behind some “hacks” that said we’re sorry we are slow we are playing for 100 bucks. No you are slow because t you suck at golf, but yah no one out yelling at them to pick up the pace, our let the two guys behind them play through, or not to wear tee shirts on the golf course.

The course is pretty beat up.... Standing on dirt on most tee boxes and the tight dead grass lies in most fairways. One star is not reflective of the staff, who are very friendly, purely the course.

The course is seeing a lot of play and no maintenance care. From tee to green the course is not what it use to be a few years ago.

Every green you cannot get a true roll, the ball jumps and bounces off line, every putt.

The fairways are barren, thirsty and in need of TLC.

The ranger was actually out yesterday, but he wasn't doing much to speed up play. I thought each golfer had to have a set of clubs they play with, not sharing a set.

...the range tees were in poor shape - basically hit off dirt. Fortunately, the course tracks were in better condition and I had a nice time, joining a couple course veterans. The greens were hairy, so I rarely got my putts to the holes, but that was "learning" for next time.

So to start off, I want to say the manager there this past Sunday was helpful despite the problem wasn't caused by me. I booked 2 separate teetimes then called the Friday before the teetime, requesting a courtesy for all 4 of us to play together. The person I spoke to said no problem, I'll put you guys out at 1:30. When I got to the course, we were told we had to pay, despite that I had already prepaid on golfnow. So the employee I spoke to had went into their system, canceled the original teetimes, then put in a new teetime for 1:30, without leaving a note or explanation for anyone working the day of the teetime. I had to call golfnow, to prove the teetimes weren't canceled on their end and that I hadn't received a refund.

Now back to golf. The course is in the worst shape that I have ever seen it in. I wouldn't recommend the course to anyone, from tee to green, I can't think of one good thing to say about the course or round. If the greens had been running okay, that may of made up for the rest of the course.

We all agreed not to return for a long time.

Greeted nicely at the desk on arrival.

Starter giving out keys to carts was not so great. Unreasonable for them not to give two keys to 2 players in our group of 4 who were all checked in, even when we presented 2 receipts. Had to go all way to the parking lot and walk back for the second cart!!

Was skeptical about course after a torrential downpour the day/night before. Only 2 holes cart path only. Overall, course was in good condition. Slower greens than what I’m use to, but rolled nicely.

good course for recreational player who is afraid of water

Loved everything about this course. The layout, scenery, pace of play, condition. First time playing here and we'll definitely be back

I was very pleased w/ the course. It was my first time playing there and will definitely return. It was Good Friday so the course was packed.

I look forward to playing there again.

The greens were very slow and in fair condition a few had rough areas

Tee boxes were so so

In general we found the price asked was a bit much therefor expected better

But the people there were exceptional
