Great layout
Awesome course friendly staff greens and tee boxes great shape fairways good shape for heavy rain two days before one of my favorite courses in the area

Nice course
Rained the night before so golf cart path for 9 holes. Ranger came by and said they opened the course to 80 degree rule. Made much more enjoyable greens were excellent and fast fairways were a little wet from the overnight rain but was in great shape. Wonderful layout. Will play again

Sandy Greens
Greens were aerated and sanded after the holiday Monday, played the next Wednesday. When your putt leaves a trail through sand, its too sandy. Maintenance vehicle tracks on the greens showed through the sand too.
It was very disappointing that no notice of the maintenance was given (on GolfNow or in the Pro Shop) or reflected in greens fees. This is typically a 4.5 star course but only a 2.5 today.

Improved course
Better condition than before. Seems like they are paying more attention to tee boxes, traps, greens.

Great Layout
Enjoyed this course thoroughly. If I lived in VA it would be a regular scheduled course on my agenda. Greens fast, fairway wide enough to hit them and the layout was great. Depending on where you are coming from it could be a 30 to 40 minute drive. I was visiting Newport News.

This course was a pleasant surprise.
I enjoyed playing Kaisiack. Layout was great, green speed was fast but manageable. It truly is a fun course to play and if I were local I would play it weekly.

A Challenge For All
Kiskiack is a great course all around. Kiskiack’s staff help make the round start off on a great note. The food in the restaurant is great for after the round. But maybe the best part is the variety Kiskiack’s course layout offers. The par 3’s are all great challenges. Some of the par 5’s are reachable. The mix of tees makes the course great for a scratch golfer, an average golfer, or someone newer to the game. The greens are in great shape and the course has recovered well after a rainy winter/spring. The course also hosts successful tournaments that have been great for both our golfing and non-golfing community.
