Ocotillo Golf Club - Gold/Blue

Would have to add that I would recommend only to a low handicap golfer! A difficult course with so much water!

27 holes of fun and entertainment. Ocotillo always give you a pretty good dollar value and it plays fair with good greens. Pace of play could be better but that's what you get for a public course.

The diverse layout is cool - makes it just challenging enough to make you think about different club choices off the tee. If your a slicer, brings extra balls - lots of water to the right. Very pretty course with holes over water, in between a variety of trees, descent bunkers & lush fairways. The rough is average length but curly in a lot of spots making it pretty unforgiving. 2 beverage carts was great, we were never short on drinks. Only complaints would be 1) this course always seems very wet in the morning - the ball plugs even on some drives in the fairway & it causes almost muddy conditions in the fairways. 2) arrive extra early to check in - every time i have been here the proshop takes FOR-EV-ER to check people in. The guys inside were friendly, it must be the system they use.

This course has gone down hill. Greens were good. Fairways were average as well as tee boxes. The bunkers are bad with limited rakes and most of them are broken. Overall I’m disappointed based on what it used to be.

Ocotillo used to be well managed course with great pace of play. Unfortunately they are only focused on flooding the course with golfers and do not care about the player experience. I’d avoid any tee time after 11am if you want to finish with the sun still up. Horrible.

Living in the area, we had never played the course but decided to try it for a special occasion. Loved the option of having 3 separate 9-hole courses so that it was never a long wait or delay and pace of play was excellent. The course and greens were in good condition and facility was clean. We absolutely loved the Bar & Grille (restaurant) and thought the food was fantastic and prices very good. Great option for something different in the area and although a little pricey, definitely would come back again!

I’m done playing here. First off…..the pace of play is SLOOOOW!!!!!!! Come on guys…..get a marshal out there to enforce the pace of play. It was ridiculous. Waiting 10+ minutes to tee off on EVERY tee box. Terrible. Took 6 hours to play 18. Also…..goose feces everywhere. GROSS. There are thousands of geese on this course because of the endless water. The geese ruin the experience and they crap everywhere. It is disgusting. Finally, super overpriced for what it is. I’m done with this place. So many better options out there.

I really enjoyed this course, we played the white and gold, and they were both quite challenging. Lots of water throughout both 9, various mounds in the fairways and a challenging amount of bunkers both greenside and in the fairways. The pro shop staff was a little stiff when I walked in but wow did they lighten up quickly and turned out they were very busy, but they were very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. I really appreciated both of the gents at the check in!!!

There nine holes with lakes and bunkers, good challenge. 3:30 pace weekday.

Course was not in bad shape after overseeing. Still a little pricy for time of season.

I had read about how nice the course was in the past. It shows as 4 stars but A big disappointment. Fairways were in brutal shape and long. No GPS on carts and nothing marked on fairways but for a few 100 yd markers. Greens were slow and inconsistent. Bunkers were not raked and little to no sand, mostly dirt and sometimes mud.

Pace of play was very fast - because nobody was playing - hint. I think this was a nice course when first built but they’ve spent no money or effort in upkeep. Won’t play it again. Sorry.

Course has a great layout with really fun greens will definitely play again for the right price! All courses in Arizona in my opinion are over priced but it’s definitely a go to for me nice course! Would like to see a Ranger once in a while, pace of play can be an issue on that course.

Blue course was cart path only with Long grass and slow greens

White Course was cut for over seeding (Fairway and Greens) with no water as they let the summer grass die, so we basically played on dirt .
