Ocotillo Golf Club - Blue/White
About
Ocotillo is a one-of-a-kind golf spot in a state full of top golf spots, and the four-star golf course is suitable for both golf upstarts and old-timers.
Ocotillo's Blue Course is a watery grave; water comes into play on eight of the nine holes. It's not overly long but there's so much water the length becomes irrelevant. The best hole may be No. 1, a 590-yard par 5. Big hitters are faced with the classic risk-reward: Do they lay-up on their second shot or try to fly a tributary that splits the fairway about 50 yards short of the green?
The White Course is the most unique of the three. It has only one par 5, and the water is a factor on just five of the holes. But it also has the best hole on the property -- the 479-yard, par-4 ninth, which used to be an easy par 5 but is now a treacherous finishing touch.

Fun
Always a challenging course, good risk reward ! Had a great time
Nice track.
Course was in good shape considering the heat. Very nice layout and has some challenges.
Great course, staff not ready or equipped to start day
Love this course, was not thrilled wt the way clubhouse handled check in, had a discounted rate on GN as a single , had two guys that wanted to john me , course offered me a latter time by 20mins but wouldn’t honor original rate , charged every player $10 .00 extra dollars , when I brought them extra business :/ when asked attendant to honor discount , was denied . Also had to wait for range balls , out of bags @ 800am in the morning ? When asked
Love this Course!
My wife (25 handicap) and I (16 handicap) both love this course! Lots of water to make things interesting, excellent conditions, their carts and green poles have all the elements you would expect. This was our 4time in the last 6mo to play here. Never disappointed.
All good except the greens and some of the sand traps
Have played Ocotillo several times. Fairways were in excellent shape as usual. Greens were in poor shape, appeared to have lots of dead areas. May just be the transfer to Bermuda but have never seen them in this condition. Sand traps on the blue 9 were very hard packed, better on the white course. Good pace of play.
Save your money
Greens are absolutely trash. Slow and bumpy that don’t hold their line, for a course in AZ this time of year they should be near prime.
Wasn’t worth the $60 we paid. Way better courses for your money in the valley.
April green fees reasonable ; course in great shape
We played the blue./ white course. The blue course has lots of water that winds through the course and homes. Very pretty, lots of flowers. This was our first time playing Ocotillo and we should have explored the water hazards more. On a few holes we couldn’t see that the water cut across the entire fairway. We played as a twosome and had to wait on most holes, however we did play in 4 hours.
Tee time was accurate restarting.
36C/96F - HOT! The course thankfully had a bit of shade on most holes. Restaurant had tables as well as comfortable arm chairs.
Lots of beautiful azure water!
Great bank for the buck! Lots and lots of water! All aspects in great condition. I gokfed the Blue and White course combo. I'll be back to try the gold!
White-Gold April 8, 2019
Course in decent shape. Greens seemed a little over-watered. Paired with a cery pokey twosome but still finished in 4 hours. Bathroom on Gold need better marking because it’s hidden in the bushes and you can’t see it from 6 tee.
This course has lots of water and a great layout
The course has water on 14 of the 18 holes we played. As a 7 hdp player the water doesn’t play much into my game if you watch your distances and layup / play smart golf. As a high handicap player others in our group struggled a bit. The course is in great shape and fun to play
Good Day
Course was in excellent shape. Pace of play under 4 hours today. Would recommend playing
Absolutely amazing
Loved this course and whole experience! Beautiful layout, use of water, and course upkeep! Pace of play on a Sunday was under 4 hours ! Great clubhouse amenities and relaxed atmosphere , would play here anytime
Just Okay
Course is in good shape except for the greens. Not sure what’s up with them because usually are in great shape. Right now have some brown spots and are bumpy.

Sorry peconners the Ranger could use some etiquette lessons but you were playing too slowly. Your attitude reminded me of those "left lane hogs" we all encounter on the highways and who lead to many accidents nationwide. 4 hours for a round of golf should be a maximum not your goal and if another foursome was pressing you it was because they were getting extremely frustrated in the Desert heat at waiting over every shot. We have played golfnow.com rounds this past week in 2 hours 50 and two hours 55. You should have invited the group behind to play through without being told and you would have spared yourself (and your guests) the Ranger's rudeness.
