Pueblo El Mirage Golf Club
About
The golf course at Pueblo El Mirage Golf Club is a challenging championship length course, but it is still suitable for all skill levels of golfer. The course features lush greens and long, rolling fairways. Lakes create water hazards that come into play on eleven holes. There are also strategically placed sand bunkers throughout the course. The signature hole is the par-4 15th hole, which calls for a start with a straight tee shot to a tight fairway and then a precise approach over water to a tiered green. The Pueblo El Mirage facility offers a driving range and putting green as well as a fully stocked pro shop.

Yellow tees were poor
Conditions were good but very dissappointed in yellow tee boxes.

Good Course
The course is in reasonable condition, layout of the holes is good. The greens are not as good as others I have played. Overall it is a good course and reasonably priced.

First time at Pueblo El Mirage!
First time playing at Pueblo El Mirage! Overall a very enjoyable experience! Pace of play was pretty good, though we waited a few minutes at a few holes on back nine.
Concerns:
1) Other than the main gate, there were no signs leading to the parking lot (though plenty of signs for Pickleball); I got lost and had to circle back.
2) Greens were in rough shape, and pin placements could have been more centrally located within the greens.

Pleasant surprise
Very enjoyable layout and some very challenging holes. But, the conditions were substandard as there was very sparse, dry rough and fairly slow and bumpy and firm greens. Tremendously good value and friendliness of the staff and players made this a very pleasant surprise.

Don't know what happened to Pueblo it's totally gone down hill , showed up for my Tee Time for 12;56 was told pretty much on time our time came and gone ask when people were going to get to tee off they said after groups make there turns since they doubled teed ,played here in 2021 course was starting to come around this year greens were terrible hardly any grass and what grass they did have was spotty fairways pretty much the same way, dont't know what happen with restaurant either use to have a nice dinner menu Rib specials etc. now just sandwichs and you must pay with a credit or debit who ever heard of that we don't take cash luckly I only had to pay 45.00 really not worth that eithersorry to see this happen always liked coming here will not be back.

Selling t=times
They are selling 18 hole t. = times on TEE OFF too late in the day knowing you can’t possibly complete the 18 holes that you paid for because it gets dark. Got ripped off on this one.

Not very well managed
We arrived 30 minutes before tee time and were told they were 45 minutes behind. Had a shotgun start on the course they waited until all were in before starting us. Lots of open holes! We ended up teeing of an hour and a half late! I’m going to cancel next weeks tee time there.

Greens and fringe are very rough.
The greens and rough are almost impossible to putt. They need to be rolled.

Ok Course for the money if you can play what you paid for
We reserved afternoon tee time for 18 holes. After we checked in and paid we were told a delay of 45 minutes due to carry over of frost delay. This put us into twilight area but we already paid for 18. The pace of play for first 9 holes was slow, we waited every tee box. First 9 took over 2 1/2 hours to play. After finishing nine I was going to go into clubhouse to see if they would adjust us to 9 holes as day light was about to end. Clubhouse and restaurant was closed. So we played 2 more holes before it became too dark to play anymore.
The design of the course is decent, in fact like some of the holes and how water played into it, made you think about your shot. Fairways were in decent shape for the time of year.
Greens didn't roll true, the ball hopped a lot. It just wasn't one or two holes, it was pretty consistent that way throughout the holes we played.
The starter was very friendly and tried to keep things moving.
Had we been given opportunity to convert to 9 hole payment, would rate course 3 stars overall.

Fair at best
Pace of play was terrible. There was a VERY slow foursome in front of us that made the front nine play in 2hours and 40 minutes. Thanks god they quit on number 12 or else it would have been a 5+ hour round. Course conditions were fair at best - spotty fairways, tee boxes in rough conditions, bumpy greens. If not for the price we paid being a great Golfnow Hot Deal, it would have been a terrible experience. The only redeeming grace is that the staff was very friendly.

Frost and tournament delay
Enjoyed our day. Greens need to be rolled by as well as the fringe. Did notice improvements on the tee boxes . Green 17 needs work.

How many stars do you rate. Your own course
We had a good day! Fringe around the greens was very rough. Could not get a true roll. Green 17 was in terrible shape and no repair was being done. Close that part of the green while repair is being accomplished. No excuse for green being in that kind of shape. Greens were consistent and in decent shape except 17. Tee boxes have had work done on them. Grass was too long. We will be back.
