Pueblo El Mirage Golf Club
About
The golf course at Pueblo El Mirage Golf Club is a challenging championship length course, but it is still suitable for all skill levels of golfer. The course features lush greens and long, rolling fairways. Lakes create water hazards that come into play on eleven holes. There are also strategically placed sand bunkers throughout the course. The signature hole is the par-4 15th hole, which calls for a start with a straight tee shot to a tight fairway and then a precise approach over water to a tiered green. The Pueblo El Mirage facility offers a driving range and putting green as well as a fully stocked pro shop.

Course conditions
Fairways extremely dry. Most greens abominable, like putting on a parking lot. I like to play there but $45 to play this course isnt a good value.
Course needs help
Greens need help. I understand they just hired a new greens keeper, hopefully he can help. Fairways have grass burned out on most holes. little or no grass so its hard to get a good hit from your clubs

It was windy as heck so a true evaluation is not possible but the greens were very iffy

Hard But Slow Greens
The greens where very hard didn’t hold anything hit onto them. But when you went to put they where very slow. So this made every putt a long one. It also force you to hit short trying to play the bounce and fool out instead of hitting onto the green. Shot a 83 but it should’ve a round in the upper 70s with the way I swung and played..

Very pleased with the round. Greens were very slow . Water is needed in all areas. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We will be back.

Good value
The young guy running the pro shop needs a promotion. Great with people and gets the tee times moving.
Course in good shape for this time of year. And crews were working on various places on the course. I think it will only get better with time.

Needs some work
Nice layout, not maintained very well. Lots of brown fairways and greens need some help. Needs better cart directions on back nine. No marshal or beverage cart on the course and only 3 water stations in the Desert heat was lacking. Horrible experience with clueless 3 some In front of us - “Charles” with the beard who fancies himself some golf guru was giving playing lessons to his group on every hole and when we went around them on 5, they were 2 full holes behind the group in front of them, by the turn they were 3 full holes behind and had been run around by 4 groups that l know of. Ridiculous ! They had ZERO etiquette and did not care as groups stacked up behind them on every tee box. Made the front nine 2 and half hours long and no marshal on the course to call them on it. Based on course conditions and amenities, I will never play here again.

Not impressed
I think many of the other reviews were a bit generous. Some tee boxes torn up, most green patches on and off fairways were clovers and weeds, not grass. Some greens were very nice and consistent, some had large dry patches a, leaves, small rocks/large sand chunks. Greens were inconsistent rolls from hole to hole. Water in ball washers smelled like sewage, cart was nice and quiet, but brake wouldn’t catch so cart started beeping while you are addressing ball. GPS in cart was useless; no yardage, only hole layout. No additional functions on GPS such as music, speakers or Bluetooth. Clubhouse main entrance was locked. Small practice green, driving range is irons only and no useable grass, just sand. GPS kept flashing commercials 3-4 times per hole which required touches to screen to get back to hole. Don’t even think GPS had a scorecard. Sand bunkers not bad, but I only hit one. Not many sand traps on course. Pretty flat layout on nearly every hole. Pace was slow with players hitting 3-4 shots or zig-zagging across course to play a miserable game. Most players were excessively slow but some would let you play through. Entrance to pro shop unmarked, just a door around the back. Paths from holes 4-6 and most of back nine is driving on streets through the community. Not really worth the money except that it was a beautiful day and $45 in April. Doubtful to return. Too many other quality courses in the valley.

Hard fairways so lots of roll out distance. Almost no Sandra's so easy play

Good old Pueblo
Fun track, just wish the Marshalls would actually do their job and push a few 4somes. Be prepared to play 18 in about 5 hours. We waited 10-15 mins per shot due to 2 very very slow groups ahead of us.

Needs Maintenance
Played on a Monday afternoon. Greens were very slow and bumpy as they hadn't been mowed since previous week. Some very dry areas throughout the course. Garbage cans were full and overflowing onto the ground.
Ball washers needed some repairs and water. We were waiting on the 13th tee box when the sprinklers came on. Called the club house but no one would answer. Made us wonder if any of the Grounds crew came to work that day. Played this course a few times but if this is there new direction we won't play more than one more time.
