About
Nestled within Fountain Hills, the course at the Desert Canyon Golf Club offers a championship course with a variety of elevation changes with views canyon and mountain views. It is a desert-style course with some elevated tees and open fairways that play tight with a few doglegs. Water bunkers come into play on a few holes as well as numerous well-positioned sand bunkers. From nearly every hole on the golf course, views of the signature fountain in Fountain Hills, which is the world's tallest fountain at 550 feet, can be seen.

Friendly staff, great views
I was very happy they allowed us to take individual carts. We played around 11 am, during the week and there were not a lot of other groups. The pace of play was excellent. The greens were sanded, maybe a few weeks ago, didn’t affect the putting too much. There were a couple of bare spots, but not many - maybe on 2 or 3 holes. Overall, course in good shape. If you play here take the time to look backwards from the green and enjoy even more mountain views
Hot day on the hills
This is a hilly course with lots of ugly rough. Found at least 10 golf balls looking for mine!!
Greens were fast and moderately difficult to read.
Rough and fairways were excellent condition.
Sand wasn't too bad.
Worth the drive!
I always enjoy playing this course. They check all of the boxes, great staff, great conditions, great price, spectacular views, and a tough little track that only plays 6700 or so from the tips. We will definitely be vack6!
Fun and challenging
Layout of the course with the multitude of elevation changes makes the course fun and challenging. I need to play it again. I had an off day myself which took some of the fun. I found myself chasing the game more than usual. The overall experience needs as second look. I think knowledge of the layout is an important aspect to play here. This is one of those courses that will penalize you for not knowing quite where to go on your next shot.
Nice course
I have played Desert Canyon many times and find it to be a fun track to play. At times I think their green fees can be on the high side but I then look online for deals. The pace of play was great. We only had to wait on the last hole and it was a very brief wait for the foursome in front of us to finish. My only complaint is with the temps in the upper 90s it would have been nice to have the drink cart come by more than once.
New course for me
Lots of elevation changes through the canyons and lots of raised greens. Course was in good shape and the greens were pretty true, pay attention to your reads. The one trap I was in was very firm, wedge just bounced off the surface and skulled the shot. I'd do it again.

Course green were punched and sanded was not aware! Some thing spits of fairways as well! Much better courses around Phoenix

Amazing course!
Beautiful course with tons of great views. Course conditions were absolutely perfect. Best carts in town by far with built in Bluetooth speakers and interactive touch screen GPS, scoring, dual USB charging ports. Will DEFINITELY be back again and will recommend to everyone.
A Gem of a course
A fun layout with great views.
Greens were fast and consistent.
The two of us played 18 holes in 3 hours.
Beautiful views
Golf course is hilly but love that type of golf it makes you think about eachshot, not like a flat boring course. ,
