Desert Canyon Golf Club
About
Nestled within Fountain Hills, the course at the Desert Canyon Golf Club offers a championship course with a variety of elevation changes with views canyon and mountain views. It is a desert-style course with some elevated tees and open fairways that play tight with a few doglegs. Water bunkers come into play on a few holes as well as numerous well-positioned sand bunkers. From nearly every hole on the golf course, views of the signature fountain in Fountain Hills, which is the world's tallest fountain at 550 feet, can be seen.

very nice course to play. Just seemed like there were a lot more brown areas than last year and also water levels were down. Other than that everything was great.
Best bang for the buck!
Great elevation changes...... fairways and greens in great shape. Pro shop staff was super friendly and helpful. For $55 this course was the best value by far of the four courses we played.
A short round...
It was unfortunate for me to have booked a day when the white tees were moved up with the ladies tees. It made the course simply too short for my game. Otherwise the course was in excellent shape and the staff was more than accommodating. Pace of play was great as well. Great value for the money.
Great Variety
The course offers a great variety of holes so you're not bored. Some holes like 16 and 18 make it challenging and fun at the same time. As with most courses in the Phoenix area, the bunkers don't have a lot of sand but all other areas of the course are in very good condition.
Stunning Views
Excellent course with stunning views. Lots of challenges on the greens. Staff was very welcoming. Pace of play was perfect.
Pleasant surprise
Booked our round last minute without knowing too much about the course. Beautiful surroundings. Had a quick lunch beforehand - excellent. Found the course to be interesting and fair. Very good conditions. Would definitely play again during our next visit. Strongly recommend.
Challenging and fun
Lots of up and down hill challenges. Opportunities to practice long irons. Great views. Very friendly staff and pace of play was great.
Great for Course, little short.
The day I played was too windy, but still was fun. Little short not enough par 5's and course was in good shape. Don't drive your cart to close to the green it shuts off, thanks for the heads on that before the round staff? Reverse is the only thing that worked. Greens were very fast and where they had the pin on #3 you couldn't keep the ball on the green, it would roll right off the front. I would play this again, but no more than $50 for the round. Oh that includes a bucket of balls. And a hotdog and chips costs $3 great deal. No cart girl on week days.
Hidden gem in the valley
Played here 4/23/17, course was in good shape and the greens rolled perfect and true. Awesome layout/design, I enjoyed hitting a wide variety of clubs off the tee's, not hitting a driver on 14 holes. This track utilizes the natural rolling landscapes, which makes for challenging yet fair playability. Breathtaking views on many holes. Pace of play was absolutely perfect, the staff is very very friendly and accommodating. I've played many good courses in the valley, but this one is a must play. For $68 on GolfNow I feel that I owe them more money, best value I've had in golf. Thank you for an amazing day on a fantastic track!
Fun course
Easiest discription is a good little course that's easy to get around. Greens an fairways are in great shape. Staff seems friendly and helpful.
I'm a woman with a 19 handicap. Since this was my first time playing the course played from the red tees. I would play from the gold tees the next time I played here.
Ate in the restaurant after the round and meal was really good. Would definitely recommend both the course and the restaurant.
Beautiful vistas
The staff here is friendly and the views are awesome. Challenging but not difficult.
Always a good value!
As usual this was a great day, not my play necessarily but the course! The fairways were in great shape the greens ran a bit fast which increased the challenge. Pace of play was a bit slow but it was a very busy day so we finished up less than 1/2 hour behind the pace which isn't too bad. In general this is one of our favorite courses and the value for the price is very good.
wont go back
Course is tricked up-lot of blind shots and greens are small and slopey-one and done for me
Dont let the yardage fool ya....
This course is an older desert design with some sever elevation changes. Plays much longer than the listed 6500. The greens were a little firm but putted decently. Some tricked up holes (1,3,18) because of location of layout but over all a nice track. The par 3's can be very difficult from the black tee's. The back nine is a much better layout with some real good holes. Pace of play was good for this time of year. Nice practice area as well. Good course for the money.

Thank you so much for taking the time to review our course. We are known for being a canyon course with elevation changes and blind shots. I would say our course is in great shape compared to others at same cost. Hope you find a course that is better for your game.
