About
Located a short distance from Sky Harbor Airport in Phoenix and Arizona State University, Kokopelli Golf Course is a championship length course that offers many interesting challenges. The rolling terrain creates sloping greens and undulating fairways. A majority of the teeboxes and greens are elevated as well. The course also has large multiple island tees and water hazards in the form of meandering lakes that come into play on several holes. The signature hole of Kokopelli Golf Course is the par-5 18th hole. The dramatic finishing hole calls for a shot off an elevated too followed by an approach shot past water to an elevated green.

Huge disappointment
Chaotic start. No carts were available and pace of play ridiculous. Stopped at 11 because we were waiting 10-15 minutes on average per hole. Areas around fairways were in a terrible state while greens were in à sorry stat.
Much Improved
It has been a few years since playing Kokopelli as I have been put off by the terrible reviews. However, I decided to try again as recent reviews were positive. I was pleasantly surprised as the fairways were lush, greens excellent, plenty of good sand in the traps, and tee boxes good. Staff was friendly. The only real issue is all the dirt on both sides of the fairways. However, you have to treat it as if you were playing a desert course and the fairways were lined with desert where you typically lose your ball. At least with this dirt, you can find and hit your ball. I always loved the layout of this course, and the undulating greens are difficult. I'll be back.

Not a great challenging course
I didn't think the course was in great condition and will be very muddy if there was any moisture around.

Some improvements
Course conditions showing some signs of improvement. My only complaint is why would they use green for the tee box markers?

Good Value
We had a great time golfing this course. We will be back for sure. It was good value for our money. Everything else around here has insane prices. We had no one in front of us and no one pushing us from behind. The greens were is great shape. We will go back next week for sure!

It’s getting there
I’ve played this course a handful of times over the past few months and its getting to look pretty nice. Not as much mud as when I played there last month. Biggest issue is the grass is really tall even on the fairways. Be prepared to lose balls you thought you hit perfectly.
