About
Located a short distance from Sky Harbor Airport in Phoenix and Arizona State University, Kokopelli Golf Course is a championship length course that offers many interesting challenges. The rolling terrain creates sloping greens and undulating fairways. A majority of the teeboxes and greens are elevated as well. The course also has large multiple island tees and water hazards in the form of meandering lakes that come into play on several holes. The signature hole of Kokopelli Golf Course is the par-5 18th hole. The dramatic finishing hole calls for a shot off an elevated too followed by an approach shot past water to an elevated green.

Unfortunately the course is not in playing conditions at all . As of now I don’t recommend it

April 2023 review
The greens and the tee box were good as well as some of the fairway. One thing that we missed are the yardage marker. There was maybe two 150 marker on 18 holes. It would be much better if there was the 100 & 150 yard marker.

Obviously anybody who plays this course has not read any of the updates or reviews I played there about 4 years ago and astounded that it is still open the reviews are about the same as they were 4 years ago so it's definitely a one and done once you play there once you'll never go back !!!!!

Poor fairways
Played this course two years ago and it was in great condition. This time, fairways were peeled back, limited grass to hit off. Course looks more like a desert that lush course. Ponds were dirty. Bunkers were mostly rock hard. Nice greens.

Rough conditions
Course is only maintained along the road… everything else is burnt out and not cared for.

I would give this course a half of star if I could. The owners should be ashamed of themselves. I hardly ever write reviews, the only reason I am is so I can save at least one person from booking here.

My opinion
Staff was unfriendly barely acknowledged us. No starter no direction as to which carts were to be used. Pace was very slow with the group ahead holding everyone back. No Marshall to keep play moving. No drink cart though we told there was. Grass/course was in terrible condition. I’ve played a number of times in the past and conditions are no where as good as they used to be

Not worth the cost
Coors was in bad shape for the price they are charging. Many other courses at some locations in much better shape amenities didn’t even have bottled water available.

Was happy to seebunkers to be filled with sand but ,not much point if golfers and staff don’t rake them,also all the low ponded areas filled with water wa a real game spoiler .I feel this could be a real good challenging course if it was maintained better .Also something needs to be done about the driving range as we had about6 balls land around us as we played through,

Worst 18 hole course in AZ
Play at your own risk. Imagine a bare course the owner has put no time or effort into other than paying the employees. Carts breaking, grass turning to dirt, greens eaten up and patchy. Place needs new management, if they can sell it for Pennie’s on the dollar.
They don't give a f...
The snack shack people very friendly, the pro shop don't care....our cart went dead, called to get another one...they said they will send someone out.....they never showed. We even let 2 groups go through while we waited. Called again, no answer. We had rental clubs, when we returned, the golf shop was closed.
I will never play golf there again.....I suggest you don't play here either
