Friendly Layout, Friendly Staff!
The layout at Western Skies is very forgiving, and the fairways and greens are perfect, 12 months a year. The staff there always treat me like family, (and I'm not that easy.) Five Stars for Western Skies!
More like a Muni course
There is a lot of open dirt area on this course. It is very dry and dusty. With the wind it was like being in a dirt storm. The conditions were not great. Greens fast and hard. You could put from 25 yards out due to the dry and compact conditiions around the green,
Great People! Great Course!
I always brag about Western Skies Golf Course and Staff. This time I'll just brag about the people there. Starting with Maddie, Pays, Jim, Kyle, Parker, Isaac, Matt, Ed, and all the others. They treat me like a beloved Grandpa, and they treat EVERYONE with courtesy and professionalism. (I shot 78 Saturday!) FIVE STARS FOR WESTERN SKIES!
No on course marshal
Western Sky Golf Course if a good course. I played Saturday morning and was the first group off. Front 9 took 1 1/2 hours. As we turned the 9th hole Western Skys Start sent a 3 some out in front of our group. I was told this was their practice to send as many groups out in front of the first group playing 18. I went in the pro shop to ask why they just sent a group out in front of our group and one of the goofball starters said we just finished 9 holes in 1 1/2 hours and now we can wait for the groups in front of us. So after one of our long hitters hit on the group in front os us one of that group suggested they are playing slow because two guys in front of the where teaching their girlfriends how to play golf. Western Skys does not have on course marshals keeping the phase of play so all golfers enjoy their experiences. Western Skys does finished the back 9 in 2 hours & 45 minutes. What a joke!!!
Pace
Pace was excellent under 4 hours. Cart lady always attentive.
Decent course, good pace of play
Decent course
Maintenance is good, water control could be better.
Not bad for the price.
Good course, friendly staff. Worth the price. The pro shop has a funky smell to it though..??
Great Course, Great People!
Five Stars for Western Skies. The course is always in fantastic shape, and the entire staff there are super friendly and helpful. You'll like Western Skies.
always good but..........
Played Western Skies this past Tuesday and found the course to be in prett good shape. Greens were running pretty quick and the bunkers are in good shape with plenty of sand.My only complaint was the group in fron us us consisting of four older gentlemen were very slow. Finally called the proshop to suggest someone have a look as they were holding uo thw whole course. The Marshall drove by us and then right past them and never said a word. What a waste of gas! At this time of year when it gets dark early and everyone wants to finish their round the course should be on top of things like that.
Ma-ma-ma-mid
Not worth 78 dollars, extremely dry rough, decent/well maintained fairways. Boring layout. However very friendly staff and amazing pace of play but course conditions are my number one indicator of coming back and this one was 5/10 conditions.
just another day in paradise
Western Skies is doing much better at keeping the course well kept.
