About
The golf course at the Western Skies Golf Club has a traditional layout with many different challenges and beautiful views. Surrounded by picturesque mountains and valleys, the course offers a taste of the countryside, which is further enhanced by the many aged Mesquite and Pinon trees sprinkled throughout. It features tree-lined fairways with generous landing areas and tricky water hazards. Two notable holes are the 4th and 7th holes, both par 3s. Although it is a modest 186 yards, the 4th hole requires a carry over water to a heavily bunkered green. Western Skies Golf Club's 18th hole is a drivable par four with water along the right side, making this an exciting finishing hole.

Another round at Western Skies
It's hot this time of year so I knew there would be some brown spots. All in all a fun time.
Course is Great, Staff is Excellent.
It was super hot, and a Monday holiday. (Juneteenth) The course was fully booked on a 105 degree day, and it took over 4 hours to play 18. The course was perfect, and Ryan, Jim, Kyle, Mike, Terry, Annika and others treated me like royalty. Like they always do.
Fun course
Fun course. Fairway spotty with summer burn but that’s to be expected when it’s 42 C.
Quick greens. Good reads. Putt what you see.

Nice track
The course is in the best shape you can expect for this time of the year! The fairway grass height is extremely low (the ball is rolling). The greens are in good shape and the ball gets a true roll. The course is drying out in some areas but that mostly due to watering. Still a good value in the east valley.
Player Friendly Course, Super Friendly Staff!
This course is forgiving and very well maintained all year long! The staff are super-friendly and helpful. Ryan, Mike, Terry, Kyle, Annika, Victoria, and especially Jim always make me feel welcome!
Great course in the neighborhood
The course is in good shape. Some of the fairways grass level height is very low. The greens are beginning to show some affects from the sun/heat. The pace of play was good!
Gorgeous Morning for golf, BUT...
Fantastic day for golf, course was in good to very good conditions in all areas. Nice surprise to find sand traps to have playable sand as many East Valley courses suffer in this area. Only downside was pace of play. We were the 2nd group off and were subjected to following a fivesome. While overall time for the round was acceptable for a middle of the morning round, it was not acceptable for a pacesetter round. We waited on every teebox or fairway to clear before we could hit. I really don't understand why a fivesome is allowed out under any conditions, but especially as the 1st group off.
