The Clubs at Arrowhead - Legend Course
About
Located in the west valley, The Clubs at Arrowhead - Legend Course (formerly known as the Legend at Arrowhead Golf Club) is an Arnold Palmer/Ed Seay-designed golf course with a traditional layout. The challenging course has six lakes creating water hazards on many of the holes and several doglegs. The difficult to read greens are undulating and in excellent condition. Each hole, except for one, has bunkering on the fairways or protecting the greens. The Clubs at Arrowhead - Legend Course's signature hole is the par-4, 426-yard fifth hole. It calls for a shot off an elevated tee with water running along the right side of the fairway as well as next to the green.

Enjoyed the course
The course is in nice condition for this time of year. Greens were better than others I’ve played recently.
Somewhat surprised
Went off as a single and played the front nine in just over an hour. Got caught behind a three-some on the back and pretty much waited on every shot but still finished the back in 2 hours. There is so much I like about this course- the layout, the greens, the water, the scenery, even all the geese. But, sadly, the conditions of the bunkers really puts a damper on the overall rating. The bunkers are compacted sand or dirt and it's like hitting out of the street- you can not get a wedge under the ball. It's a shame that with as many pluses that the course has that the bunkers have to be in such poor shape. Having said all that, I plan on playing it again.
I really like this course, very good for a couple
My wife and I played and had a really good time. OK practice area, friendly staff and a course with a lot of challenge but fair. As long as one keeps the ball in or near the fairway, you can score. Get out of position and you get hammered. A hard par and an easy bogey, just as it should be.My wife who plays infrequently had a great time and the forward tees were positioned to allow her to complete, I really like that. Lots of fun, highly recommended.
Not the course I remember
Was disappointed in condition of the course. Chose not to play the sand traps as they were like cement. Lots of bare spots. This course used to be pristine. Bar was closed, so couldn’t even enjoy a post round beverage.
Surprised how low this course has fallen
Used to love playing this course. Today lots of puddles on the fairways, solid mud in bunkers and no sand and overall bad maintenance of the entire course.
Rumor is they're going private - and have let things go already
I've wanted to play this course for awhile, but today was finally the day. I understand they're going private in the fall. The gentleman I played with had all of the info. Basically, there's going to be a lot of work done and they've already let the place go since they're going to rehab it anyway. LOTS of cart wear getting off/on the fairways and around greens. HUGE population of Canadian Geese. The greens were in GREAT shape and rolled true. I actually liked the course layout, it's just pretty obvious they're letting it go...or never took that great of care of it in the first place.
Overbooked and slowest round ever
I guess when you book a tourney, you should NOT over book the whole course, and then just make the public wait. I was 45 mins before tee time and told they were behind 45 minutes to an hour due to a tourney. Wasn't offered free range balls fro their over sight, or a bottle of water, nothing. They only care about how many they can pack in here. Once we finally teed off, 9 holes took 3 hours due to constant slow play. We got do fed up, we quit after 9, but not before our cart died half way up 9 fairway. Sad, because we like the course, but not a potential 6 hour round due to constant over booking. fairways average, traps terrible, greens good over all.
Tournament
Today is Saturday and the course had a tournament and caused an hour delay for my tee time. And not one person said anything when I checked in...at three hours for the front 9. I wasn't prepared for a 6+ hour round. Not a good round...
Legends at Arrowhead 9 hole deal
Great deal for 9 holes with a breakfast sandwich!!
Had a great time
I' played from the "senior tees" which made the yardage reasonable and I found it interesting and challenging. The greens were in great shape although a little slow for the region so it took some adjusting. Got a great breakfast sandwich at a very reasonable price and very friendly service.
Arrowhead
This course has a lot of good things about it but they are not talking very good care of it. I feel the layout is fine but the details of fairways to rough are ok, bunkers are raked but firm and not the best drainage. All in all I find it a challenge and a fair course to play.
Tough Round
Nice course, will play it again!
Stunk up the front 9 but recovered and shot my average on the back.
