The Clubs at Arrowhead - Legend Course
About
Located in the west valley, The Clubs at Arrowhead - Legend Course (formerly known as the Legend at Arrowhead Golf Club) is an Arnold Palmer/Ed Seay-designed golf course with a traditional layout. The challenging course has six lakes creating water hazards on many of the holes and several doglegs. The difficult to read greens are undulating and in excellent condition. Each hole, except for one, has bunkering on the fairways or protecting the greens. The Clubs at Arrowhead - Legend Course's signature hole is the par-4, 426-yard fifth hole. It calls for a shot off an elevated tee with water running along the right side of the fairway as well as next to the green.

Beach at Legends
the course is good but for some reason there is no sand in the bunkers. I have played it off and on for three years, they keep saying there is going to be sand but nothing yet.
Looked great on ad
Was pretty let down by conditions of course , greens were terrible . For the price, was not worth it I usually play at a course for half the price and looks 100% better
Course in rough shape
Greens have two different types of grass and there are lots of bald patches. Made for some interesting putting.
Fairways are pretty patchy. The Rough is pretty much dirt at this point. Sand traps are in terrible condition and there were multiple greenside bunkers that were full of water and moss.
There was no water in the water stations throughout the course. There was no beverage cart, so bring anything that you plan on eating or drinking.
Many of the patrons are rude and/or inconsiderate.
It is decent for the money, basically a muni course. I'd rather pay the extra $10 to hit a nicer course with better amenities. Probably won't play here again any time soon.
Great
The staff is great and we always have fun playing the course. Sand traps need new sand.
Fun Fun Fun
Starting with Rick in pro shop, couldn't have felt more welcome...tees and fairways were well maintained, and often lush despite several days over 110*...greens were also lush...too much so, however...weather dictates they allow grass to grow or else greens would fry, so once we adjusted to lack of speed, we did better. The only real complaint is the thin, sand-based grass on the practice range... that said, practice balls extremely reasonable, and fairly decent for the price. All-in-all a fun track and time well spent.
Brutally Slow Play
Had to quit round at the 17th tee. Group playing in front of us was painfully slow and not a Marshall in sight. We were already 4.5 hours and felt it could take another hour. As we passed the group in front of us we discovered another group putting out. As we approached the 18th tee, a group had just tee’d off and there was an additional group waiting to tee off. As we made our way down 18 a 3rd group were hitting their approach shots. 3 groups on one hole, not good. It appears the tee time spacing isn’t managed well nor does the golf club care about pace of play.
Better than it used to be.
They've put some good work on the course from tee boxes to greens in good condition it didn't use to be that way but rumor has it that they may go private that my be why love the tract very challenging with good length and undulating gteens..
9 holes in the morning
I thought the course was the best I've seen in years. Too many times they have had no burmuda grass in the summer. Almost like it was 20 years ago. Bunkers are a different story..
Course is going downhill...
Played here 6 years ago before. I like the course design, but come on. Course condition is just neglected. No sand in the Bunkers. Maintenance of the course is reduced to just mowing. Range has no grass left for practice... Lots of potential but looks like the management doesn't care anymore.
Hot day to play
Course is in nice shape considering the heat. Greens were fast.
Great first time
As a less experienced golfer, I found the course to be a great experience. However the group we were paired with does golf there quite often and states that the sand traps are rock hard. They started to clear out some trees and foliage to help speed up pace of play. They can update the course to be one of the best in the valley, however they are always busy so it’s hard to do big refinishes on the course.
Great value!
Fairways and greens are nearly prefect..... greens are fast and some of the most difficult in the valley. Some tee boxes have some undulations that can be a pain in the rear. Most bunkers are not maintained and nearly impossible to play out of. We played the fairway bunkers as lateral hazards and played through it, green side bunkers, on the other hand, were a free drop no closer. That said, it appears the course is spending money to enhance appearance and playability, including tree removal and green widening. For $29 this course is a slam dunk as the layout is highly challenging.
Ehhh
I always am hoping this course is worth the money but it never seems to be. I know we’re in a transition period right now but the bunkers were basically concrete, almost every green had significant brown/dead spots and the fairways themselves just weren’t great. I always want to play this course because it’s a half mile from my house but until I hear it’s in better shape I’m probably not paying the higher than appropriate fees for it.
Getting better
Much better than a few weeks ago. Greens were in good shape. Won’t attempt to play out of cement like bunkers. No need for rakes. Fix the bunkers and course is pretty darn nice.
Great Value after 3pm
Great value for afternoon play, unfortunately drink cart was not in operation while we played
