The Clubs at Arrowhead - Legend Course
About
Located in the west valley, The Clubs at Arrowhead - Legend Course (formerly known as the Legend at Arrowhead Golf Club) is an Arnold Palmer/Ed Seay-designed golf course with a traditional layout. The challenging course has six lakes creating water hazards on many of the holes and several doglegs. The difficult to read greens are undulating and in excellent condition. Each hole, except for one, has bunkering on the fairways or protecting the greens. The Clubs at Arrowhead - Legend Course's signature hole is the par-4, 426-yard fifth hole. It calls for a shot off an elevated tee with water running along the right side of the fairway as well as next to the green.

Cool Layout
I don't really understand why the bunkers are ignored (so it seems) the greens are nice, fairways are good and very good in some spots but the bunkers are rock hard dirt. This course could be a gem if more care was taken. I won't be back any time soon. I get more value for my money elsewhere.
Pleasantly Surprised
After reading the reviews I was a bit nervous to play this course but we are trying to hit every course in the area. We were sent out 10 minutes early, the pace of play was normal, greens were in great shape and the course was beautiful. Definitely playing here again.
Greens & Fairways
I use to play this course a lot in the past 30 years. Haven't played in the last 2 years. The greens were in great shape, but course needs maintenance. i have never see some fairways, rough, and trees in such a bad condition.
Thank you,
April 23 2021 Round
Greens were great; fairways were thin; bunkers were terrible.
First Timer will Return
This course provided a really great overall experience. First point - the staff. I mis-booked my tee time for the previous day. The staff went out of their way to accommodate my mistake and found a place to slot me and a buddy in. Even with 2 small tournaments going off!
The course was really a fair course. The greens were excellent. Great roll, excellent condition and they dried out and became even more challenging on the back nine. The breaks were much more subtle.
Pace of play - we played 18 holes in 4.5 hours at a leisurely pace. Tee time was 7:45 am also!
Kudos to the two small tournaments that were on the course. They did a great job of speedy play.
Cant wait to come back here again.
The Worst
We had to wait 45 minutes to get a cart. When we got it the windshield was broken. I saw 3 other golfers with broken down carts. Tee time was delayed 20 minutes with no explanation other than "its the weekend, there are a lot of golfers". The first 2 holes took 40 minutes due to slow play. That adds up to a 6 hour round. A manager said the golf shop would give us a refund but once they learned it was booked on TeeOff they refused. I have not been able to get a refund from Tee Off.
We have played this course about 3-4 times in the past because it is a good Arnold Palmer design. Each time the staff has been rude including making it difficult to get a scorecard to being denied range balls because "there wasn't time" in spite if being 30 mnutes early. It is apparent that the staff''s bad attitude and lack of customer service skills comes from the top down. There is also a tremendous amount of goose poop.
Avoid this course.
Arrowhead - good price but needs work
The course is well laid out but difficult to walk in some areas. Green were fine and fast as well as challenging. Driving range was in poor condition and the course doesn't look well maintained. Too many bare spots. No rakes for the bunkers. OK for the price though.
Dissatisfied
I played this course years ago. Back then it was top notch. Today there was garbage everywhere on range and course. No sand in sand traps. Grass was very patchy alll over course. Greens where good. I felt like they are not investing back in course. For the money I paid it was not good. Will not come back.
Slow play
Course is in fair shape. Tee boxes tough, greens ok, bunkers are pitiful. Staff friendly but the pace of play was slow. Waited on every tee box and 2nd shot. Actually waited on cart path for the tee box to clear by the group in front of us. Driving range has music blasting so for me it was hard to concentrate. Honestly you get what you pay for.
Average
Course was quite dry and hard. A couple of holes the fairway fell right off into water which seemed unfair.
No Beach
Course was in overall good shape and I love the layout. However, there was no sand in the bunkers and the hardpacked dirt cost us several strokes.
Great course
Great course friendly staff greens are fast worth the money first time here and enjoyed every moment of the day cant wait to play again tomorrow
Fun course with character
I am an average weekend golfer. My standards are a touch above bottom grade golf courses. And, since these golf courses tend to get scattered reviews, with judgments against them based on comparisons of either out of state courses, or courses with 2 or 3x green fees, I thought I would comment.
The greens are immaculate.
The traps are stiff, and everyone rates this course lower because of it. But I’ve yet to find a course at this price point with nice bunkers, ironically (considering we are in the desert). If you find one, please let me know.
The roughs weren’t too bad, more grass than dirt. Way more.
Fairways are clean.
Water makes it fun, but is not too difficult to avoid.
The only reason I gave it 4 stars was because there were no yard marker sticks, only stones in the fairway. But I wasn’t about to run all over the fairway to find it, or guess between that and a sprinkler. I didn’t have binoculars, so I just guessed most the time.
Overall, round was fun. I’ll be back (once I have those binoculars!) :-).
Poor service
Book this course through Golf now. This is the only course in the valley that requires full payment when booking through Golf now. The course then proceeded to overbook 2 of our players equaling payment of 6some. Essentially the course owes me two rounds or a refund. That’s all I asked the course for prior to playing the round and also in two follow-up conversations via phone. Now the course wants me to contact Golf now and explain this whole entire situation. Ridiculous. Plus the course was slow and overbooked. Not worth it. Waiting on my refund still!!!
