The Clubs at Arrowhead - Legend Course
About
Located in the west valley, The Clubs at Arrowhead - Legend Course (formerly known as the Legend at Arrowhead Golf Club) is an Arnold Palmer/Ed Seay-designed golf course with a traditional layout. The challenging course has six lakes creating water hazards on many of the holes and several doglegs. The difficult to read greens are undulating and in excellent condition. Each hole, except for one, has bunkering on the fairways or protecting the greens. The Clubs at Arrowhead - Legend Course's signature hole is the par-4, 426-yard fifth hole. It calls for a shot off an elevated tee with water running along the right side of the fairway as well as next to the green.

great course layout but poorly conditioned
Course doesn’t have enough carts to keep tee times scheduled. Very little sand in bunkers. Players were driving carts next greens, since course was not well marked. Not a good value.
Great greens
THis course has a suprising amount of water that comes into play.
Greens were fast and smooth- even towards the end of the day.
The layout is pretty cool- some left to right and right to left hole layouts, fairways have some movement to them as well.
Backdrops of the hill are great too!
Terrible pace of play
The course was in good shape and we loved several of the holes we played, but the pace of play was horrendous. It took right at 3 hours to play the front nine - and we never once saw a marshall. On hole 13, after having played 5 1/2 hours, our cart died and we had to wait on someone to bring us a new cart. At this point it was getting dark so we had to not finish and just head to the clubhouse. We passed people waiting on every hole, sometimes multiple groups on the same tee but never passed a worker. Very disappointing since we are from the east coast and weren’t able to utilize a ‘rain’ check (not that anyone even offered it).
Good value
Course in good condition pace of play good for a very busy day
Terrible
Paid to play 18 play was so slow we only got 9 in before the son went down. Wouldn't refund anything but wanted to give a raincheck. We were in from out of town so that didn't work! Bunkers are like concrete. Would not recommend!!
Worst Bunkers in N Scottsdale valley
Bald bunkers made for nervous bunker play from the entire foursome. Come on course management-!!! - put in some sand into those bunkers. That’s ridiculous that one is scraping hard pan on every bunker shot .... Every Bunker Shot. And clean out the rocks too!!! Spend some money and time to fix them up. The entire foursome said ‘forget about coming back here’. Sad.
I will never play this course again and I will never use golf now ever again! We booked a tee time in good faith at the legends for 12:52, the pro informed us we wouldn’t even be able to go out till 2:00, after dark we would have finished. It was all about GREED! Golf now has no way to contact them to dispute this event. So keep my money golf now and The Legends, never again will u get one penny from us again.
Poor condition
the sand traps were hard packed and know rakes .The toilets dirty. Club house not clean .
Bunkers / traps
Good course, but the bunkers / traps are the worst I have ever seen. No sand only hard mud or dirt. They need to put some money in the course and repair the traps.
Slow
This coarse was so overbooked today it was a joke. Good thing the weather was nice, I had cigars with me and I was paired up with some good people. Couldn't believe how many people were on the coarse.
Course sandtraps need some work!
This course has sandtraps full of rocks & very little sand! Our cart died on 18 & had to be toad in which made our round even longer!
Home course
Fun course
I really like the variety of holes on this course, allows me to work the ball slot which makes it fun. Course was in pretty good shape.
Terrible Pace of Play
Had a 3some booked for mid afternoon. Pace of play was an issue off of the first tee box with the 3 groups in front of us taking 10+ strokes per golfer. No ranger in sight. Greens and fairways were nice enough, but bunkers are dirt, not sand. Finished 7 holes in 2 hours and called it quits. If you have 6 hours for a round, i guess the value is there, but you’ll be racing the sunset. Won’t be back here in the foreseeable future.
