The Clubs at Arrowhead - Legend Course
About
Located in the west valley, The Clubs at Arrowhead - Legend Course (formerly known as the Legend at Arrowhead Golf Club) is an Arnold Palmer/Ed Seay-designed golf course with a traditional layout. The challenging course has six lakes creating water hazards on many of the holes and several doglegs. The difficult to read greens are undulating and in excellent condition. Each hole, except for one, has bunkering on the fairways or protecting the greens. The Clubs at Arrowhead - Legend Course's signature hole is the par-4, 426-yard fifth hole. It calls for a shot off an elevated tee with water running along the right side of the fairway as well as next to the green.

Disappointed
Course was in reasonably good condition after heavy rain the day before. Layout is very good. Unfortunately, the traps are terrible, very little sand, hard packed dirt and rocks. Driving range has no grass. Amenities very limited, no drink cart, limited menu in grill, limited stock in pro shop. Needs work to be worth cost.
Excellent golf experience
I was greeted by the helpful and friendly outside services personnel. Carts appeared brand new, they have very a quite ride, comfortable seats and a plug in for the iPhone.
Pro shop greeted us, checked us in quickly and got us to range! Course was in great shape, greens are tough. Saw the beverage cart person 4 times! Highly recommend this course. Hidden jem in North Glendale. A rating 5 stars! Golf Now has good value for the high season. Highly recommend this course.
Not bad for the price
Good value. Nice layout. Fairways and greens are good. Bunkers are horrible, very little sand if any and full of rocks, pebbles. Very slow play today, 5 hour round, but it is Phoenix Open week.
This course could be awesome
This course could be awesome with a little more maintenance
Packed course and bunkers
Be sure to confirm your tee time. We booked at 2pm (a great value for this tough a layout) but when we checked in they said there system doesn’t work well with GolfNow so we had a 2:15 time. Well we teed off about 2:25 and because pace was slow we only got in 14 holes.
Tough but nice course. Sand traps are basically all waste areas.
Joke is an understatement!!
we booked on golfnow at 107 p.m--- got an email confirmation as soon as we booked it and again 1.5 hours before our tee time -- when we got to the course we were told we were "bumped" to 145 p.m as 107 was given to someone else-- we got in 15 holes and were not able to finish the round-- it was unacceptable-- golf now is a joke; arrowhead is a joke as they could've bumped the other 2 some considering we checked in an hour prior to our tee time and they showed up 10 minutes before-- we will NEVER, EVER play there again-
Blame the management company.
Been playing here for 20 years . Every years it gets worse.
Greens are bumpy, sand traps are the worst in the area, driving range has little grass, mostly sand. Tee boxes are sad, with dozens of used tees laying around. The rough is totally unbelievable. Weeds grow higher than the grass and lastly , cart paths need major repair..
This course, when in good condition, used to be a site for PGA qualifiers that's how challenging it is, but not now.
This course is in bad shape!
I was expecting a lot more. Very poor maintenance, the rough is 90% dirt 10% dry grass, the bunkers “sand” is concrete hard, fairways are ok in some holes but just ok. There are way better courses for 55 bucks.
Great value
Challenging layout. Traps always raked. Greens were tough but fair. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Very good value. Definitely looking forward to playing it again
Was member there 20 years ago...Worked there also...
Dear Concerned:
Arcis is doing a better Job than American Golf.
Bunkers are horrible! More rocks than my front yard! No sand, just clay under.
Tee boxes need to be graded... look like buried elephants underneath. Trouble lie on the tee?
Practice Range: Super need to learn how to grow grass. Staff needs to rotate practice ropes better.
Greens: way better than before... but they have shrunk in size.
Restrooms: Absolutely disgusting!
Legend was my home course in 1999... shot -8 in AZ Open and missed playoff by one shot. Great layout ... please keep it up to standards!
Hope this helps!

good and bad
Our foursome arrived to find we had about a 15 minute delay in starting. Once on the course we waited on almost every hole and never saw a ranger. The course was in playable shape and the greens were slow but putted true. Don't know if it was rain or a sprinkler problem but many wet muddy areas made hitting some shots messy and difficult (I know, keep it in the fairway!). We will be back later in the spring to give them another chance.
Nice course
First time playing and it was fun. Some of the bunkers were hard as cement but overall, course was pretty sweet. Forgiving but definitley kept ya honest with lotsa sand around the holes.
The Legends @ Arrowhead
This course is a hidden gem inside north Phoenix. 1st time playing and will come back for more rounds. Weather was a little stubborn causing a delay for our start time but nothing against the course. Ther range was closed due to the weather delay this was a draw back since its always better to hit some warm ups. If the course is kept in this good of shape during the spring-summer its going be fun times.
Another Bad Golf Experiance!
Our tee time was 1:22 and due to A lack of carts we didn’t tee off until 1:45pm. The speed of play was absolutely horrible, our group waited on every single hole to tee off.
I live in the Arrowhead community and thought I’d give the course another shot since it looked in good condition but everything else around the golfers experience failed to meet any of our expectations.
I will not be returning anytime soon!
Arrowhead
Bunkers are dirt. Greens a bit bumpy. Lots of fairway damage. Course design great. Staff friendly.
Unlikely ever again
15 minutes late teeing off. Fairway and greens were adequate/average at best, rough is often just dirt; traps (of which there were many) were crap; hard with little sand and/or stoney and/or flooded (hadn't rained for quite anumber of days) and some with minimal or no rakes and rarely raked possibly as a result any. Player assistant/marshall spent most time fishing for balls although he did (when asked) request a slower group to let us through.
Bunkers
I really like the course but the biggest issue we had was that there is no sand in the bunkers and they are next to impossible to play out of.
