Golf Club of Estrella

The golf course met or exceeded expectations in all areas except pace of play. No on course marshal meant that one group caused the course to back up. Well over a 5 hour round. I would still definitely play this course again.

Had a great day at Estrella! Course was CPO but reseeding was near :ending so Fairways were in great shape and greens were pretty good too. Wide Fairways and pretty scenery made for an enjoyable day. Check in was a breeze and we even got out early due to a cancellation so another plus. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Ranger came around a few times keeping pace on schedule. Would play again....this course was in the best shape of the 3 we played this week. It's a bit of a drive to get there, but worth it.

Had a really fun round, course is in great condition!

We thought the course was fabulous, however, pace of play was so slow the we did not finish our round. It took 4.5 hours to play 15 holes. Not a marshal around. As we were leaving, we saw 1 group that caused the delay. 2 open holes in front of them. Extremely disappointed that we paid full price and could not finish.

First time I’ve played this course, got fooled a few times, this is a good thing, impressive layout!. Only complaints were a bit of slow play, we got in 15 holes and it was dark. Teed off at 2pm, no way you can finish in 4 hours with current pace of play. One other quibble, no push carts so you are forced to drive a power cart.. interestingly, in Great Britain it’s the opposite, no power carts, only walking. Better feel for the courses and you finish in 4 hours or less!!

Apart from that, really a fun time and I guess it’s good to be lazy once in a while!!!

Played this course for the last 10 years during nascar week. Each time it has been cart path only. Golf now said they were 90° . Pace of play would pick up at least 30 minutes if they would be at least 90°, not cart path only. They also need to bring back so.e of the specials to bring people to play the course. 1st time I played it, you got the green fee, a dozen Titleist proves , lunch for $99.

We loved playing these type of courses in AZ although it was way above average temperature..so hot out there we enjoyed it very much! Love the desert mountain views of this course!

Great layout, pace of play was outstanding even with cart path only and the greens were rolling great, even with the over seeding season finishing up. Will definitely keep my eyes open if any hot deals get posted for here again.

Beautiful course, attentive and professional staff just expensive!!!

Given the extended summer weather, I was very impressed with the condition of the course. I really enjoyed the layout of the course. Several holes provide high-risk/high-reward options. The service was great; the staff makes you feel as if you are a member at a country club. The course is an extremely good value, especially when you factor in driving range and cart are included in the greens fees. On course water coolers as well as a very frequently seen beverage cart ensure that you will stay hydrated. A very good experience! 👍

I’m no pro, but I have played golf for 25 years and I know when we’re impacting others with slow pace of play, this was not one of those times. We had a threesome in front of our foursome, so naturally they played at a faster pace. It was a hot day and we certainly weren’t spending time looking for balls that didn’t land in the fairway. We’d give a quick Look and drop, we were enjoying the course and having fun. I was rather surprised when we were asked to pick up our pace of play. So, we rushed through the next 2 holes and decided it was no longer fun. We picked up on number 5 and headed in. We payed $390.00 to play this course and saw 5 holes. I asked about a refund policy and was told the club pro would have to call me. It’s been 2 days and no call. I’ll not be back and I hope to get my money back by encouraging you, the reader of this review, to avoid giving this club your hard earned money. Go to Verrado instead. Much nicer folks who take the time to appreciate your patronage.
