Just dissatisfied with some spots on the greens. Have played there before and enjoyed it. Was also cart path only

NO overseed warning on GolfNow. Disappointing. Cart path only means pace of play well over four hours with no waiting. So soft in some fairway spots you sink into the fairway while walking on it. Have played Estrella before and much better value in other seasons.

This course is cart path only which is difficult for this course. It’s long as it is. They at least need to have the 100/150/200 markers out on the fairway.

This course is fantastic. It was right after over seed, so it was cart path only, but our 4-some played in just less than 4 hours. The landing zones are very generous. The conditions were phenomenal and the greens (I wish I knew the type of grass) were beautiful and smooth as can be. The views are tremendous. I rarely do golf course reviews, but this course is now in my Top 3 of courses I have played here and I've lived here for almost 5 years. I can't wait to play it again.

First Troon course with bare spots on several greens. Normally Troon courses are always in excellent shape. Bunkers were rough and very hard but understandable with the transition to overseed starting the next day. Cart guys very helpful and nice. Played in about 4:20 which was ok - own group a little slow. Really nice course with some great finishing holes.

Last May I played with a guest, and the greens were disappointing. Today it rolled true!

having played course on previous trips to valley was slightly disappointed in condition. understanding seasonal changes and knowing course was ready to be closed for overseed, still . some of the greens had bare patches, have not experienced that before when playing. also, sand traps, not that you should be in them ;) , are need of work.

What a major disappointment! This course used to be top notch-was actually my favorite. If this is a Troon course, shame on them. I’m not complaining about the fairways-they were brown and hard, but understandable since they are over seeding next week. But the rest of the course is terrible. Sand traps have not been maintained, greens are still bad, although I guess they have improved ( which is a sad commentary), cart paths are in need of repair, women’s tee boxes seem to be an afterthought…even our cart sucked. Barely crept along. I saw 2 carts being towed in even before we started our round. Nobody was there to greet us or load our bags when we arrived, and nobody there to help when we finished. The only pleasant part of the day was the starter, John. Shout out to him for giving us one positive thing to say! Don’t waste you money on this course…even at $49, it was overpriced.

This was the first time that I had played Estrella. I had an idea that this course was going to play slowly. Everyone I have spoken to told me that the marshals do not enforce any pace of play and they were correct. We jammed up around a 8 & 9 and we jammed up on the entire back nine. When the 80 year old Marshall came driving by I mentioned it. He asked me how things were going and I said it it would be a whole lot better if the guys in front of us would speed up a little bit. He replied by saying have a good day and drove away. I guess that’s all you need to know about pace of play here so prepare for a long round bring a snack and enjoy the views I guess.

The price was 55 bucks for around that started at 10 o’clock which it’s neither good nor bad for what you’re getting. The condition of the course was interesting. The fairways and the fringe were fine but they had these big brown holes on The greens. If you get behind one of those on a putt you were dead in the water. In general, the greens were not in great shape and that was disappointing.

At the starters window and where we collected our cart they were very friendly and nice so that was OK. As far as the amenities, there was no cart girl on the course so that makes it a little tough to enjoy a round when you can’t have a beer or two on a 100 degree day.

Overall I rated this a three out of five stars and that seems fair.
