Golf Club of Estrella is the very first golf course on a daily-fee basis to be designed by Jack Nicklaus II in Phoenix, where it makes its home in the master-planned community Estrella, and offers 18 holes of par-72 championship golf over 7,102 unique yards. The many tests of the golf course will impress every level of golfer - though a choice of tee sets ensures no one will get in over his or her head. Desert and wash spaces require golfers to vary their shots while they take in vistas from the fairways shaped to the contour of the land and framed in the Sierra Estrella Mountains.

A round of golf at the Golf Club Estrella kicks off on Morning Star, a par 4 that measures 359 yards from the black tees. If you stick to the black tees, you'll need to conserve your energy for The Arroyo, the 16th hole, a par 5 that measures 605 yards. After that, Evening Star, the 18th hole, will be a relative breeze, at par 4 and just 437 yards from the black teees.

Once the round of golf at the Golf Club of Estrella is over, head back to the Player's Grill Restaurant for American pub fare and Southwestern snacks.

First time playing the course and had a great time overall. Good practice facility and the staff were friendly and attentive. Course itself is good--conditions were excellent from tee to green. The layout for me was a bit repetitive. Carry your drive over junk and carry your approach gave me deja vu from hole to hole. My favorite hole was 18.

Pricey for what you get.

This wax and might still be my favorite course as far as golf goes but the price is ridiculous now and what you get for the money is less value. Not even one free water bottle - concession staff and bag drop staff very friendly but the atmosphere elsewhere is a bit snobby - conditions are good but not spectacular for the money. Used to golf all day for 99.00 including cart, lunch and case of balls. Don’t expect that anymore but middle ground would be nice. Probably won’t go back.

Exceptional Experience

Overall, this course is a fair challenge. It's well taken care of and has a great design and track. The greens were running fast the day I played and it was my first time playing - so not a lot of scoring until about hole 14. Holes 17 and 18 are picturesque. Even the sandwich wrap at the end of the round was fantastic. Well done staff; I'll be back!

Amazing views and course!

Very nice elevated tees throughout the course and the greens roll true. The cart woman, Dawn, is the best and sweetest. Overall, the course is spectacular but the sand/dirt traps shouldn't have mud or water in them for a beautiful Troon run track.

Greens were excellent

A number of easier courses in the Phoenix area made the greens extremely difficult with unfair (per the USGA rules) hole locations.

Estrellas didn't do this which was great.
