About
The Red Course (formerly known as Heritage Course) at the Wigwam Resort, which has received acclaim from Golf Magazine, is one of three 18-hole courses at the resort. Built on rolling terrain, the course features elevation changes that can affect shots. Mature trees are also scattered throughout to add beauty and another challenging element. Winding creeks form water hazards that come into play on a few holes. The Red Course is popular among locals familiar with the Wigwam Resort because it is considered to have the three best finishing holes in the area. Although walking is allowed on the other two courses, carts are required on the Red Course.

Inside staff seems a little crabby..... outside staff very friendly
Good day
Arrived on a very hot day to find a nice crowd keeping their distance. With 100+ heat predicted all still came and were rewarded if they brought water. The course is forgiving but you must stay away from the base of the giant pines where many have bark/needle/mulch areas from side to side. On this day the course was mowed short and one could take advantage of the roll and the greens were fast, true and consistent. Our 3-some finished in about 3 hours which was great. Good times for our first visit here.
Hard and fast
Wigwam has 3 courses, this was the first time I played the red course. It was in decent shape. Very firm and dry. Could definitely use more water. I would play it again.
Fantastic place to play
The course was in fantastic shape would recommend to play here for the money red course in the gold course great job on keeping up the maintenance on the whole course fairways nice and plush greens nice and fast

Great round
Great round. Played in 3 hrs on a Saturday. Everything was perfect. Going back next weekend.
Out there by ourselves!
Played the red course on 4/14, played the front nine in just over an hour. Wasn’t in a hurry but never ran into any other golfers until the back. Course is in good shape just a couple of roped off spots under maintenance. Most holes are straight forward with fairly large fairways. Had no clue where to go on 18, turns out it’s a hard dogleg left. Greens got faster as the day went on but nothing ridiculous

Wigwam GC Staff...because of your efforts we had the best time. Thanks to the grounds keepers, clubhouse crew, and restaurant for doing what you do. The course was in magnificent condition from teebox to green....all 18 holes. Pace of place and precautionary measures showed how much you care for your patrons. Outstanding value/great times!! Definitely will return and recommend.
Epic
I will say it was weird playing this course when times are as they are, but the experience couldn’t have been better. Nobody in front or back of us to speak of, beautiful course conditions as expected, and about half rates. Of course most of the amenities weren’t available due to the virus, but I had a blast.
Beautiful Day
Sunny day, green grass, beautiful day. I limped to the finish, literally. I was walking from up to the tee box on 18 and a greens keeper was operating a mower nearby, and a rock shot out and hit me in the back of the knee, knocked me to the ground. I thought it was a golf ball at first.. The odds of a rock hitting me while I'm walking, I wish I could have that kind of accuracy hitting the greens.

This was my 3rd time play here and the course is always in good condition.
