Falcon Golf Club

About
Located near the Estrella and White Tank Mountains, the Falcon Golf Club is an affordable, user-friendly course with an interesting layout. The front nine has a target-style layout with a desert landscape while the back nine has a more traditional design. The greens are medium-sized with a subtle break and the fairways are wide open. Water hazards come into play on two holes and there are numerous bunkers as well, especially on the back nine. The signature hole of the golf course is the par-3, fifth hole. This notable hole has water to the right of the green and bunkers on the front right and left. With its location just south of Luke Air Force Base, fighter jets are regularly seen flying over Falcon Golf Club.

Nice surprise
First time I went here after many years of thinking about it. Course was in very good condition. Greens were well manicured and rolled accurately.
The course sits next (literally next to runway) to Luke AFB and many jets were doing touch and go's and manuvers. It was exciting to see some of the modern warplanes practicing.
I'd recommend this course without qualification.

No frills golf
If you are looking for a good no frills golf course to play when all the other places are jacking up rates this is not a bad course. You will usually get a free air show too as jets from the AFB are usually training. The course will challenge you especially if you stray from the fairway often. It’s very challenging in that regard. On par 3’s there are some well placed bunkers. Only water in play on a couple of holes. The fair ways and greens were in good shape, so if you stay on those you’ll have a good round. If you go in to the scrubs, it will be hard to track your shot as the bounces are ridiculous. The fairways were very fast as my buddy drove 320yds. But 50yards was probably roll
The Sound of Freedom
The course and it’s staff are wonderful. I have played the course many times for these reasons. The par threes are some of the toughest in the area. The subtleties, such as slight undulations in the fairways and greens keep you on your toes at all times. The length of this course is quite challenging but force a golfer to focus on every shot. It is the type of course you could play everyday and experience something different. The golf course also allows an average person to experience the power and magnificence of the US Air Force. The course is next to a
“Top Gun” training center. I would recommend every golfer try this course at least once. This is a must experience.
Slow play but there was a frost delay
We have played at the Falcon numerous times. It is generally slow on the weekends if you don't go out early. Today there was a frost delay but we got out within 20 minutes of our tee times. Unfortunately, I think they crammed everyone in. We made it to the 14th hole by the 4 hour mark then quit. It would have easily been 5 1/2 hours if we had played all 18. Just a word of caution about the weekends. Weekdays the pace is usually fine. The course is in pretty good shape and the staff are very friendly and helpful.
Nice surprise
Nice course in great condition. Walked 18 holes in pleasant surroundings, despite the din of jet planes from the adjacent airbase - no problem unless one is extremely sensitive to noise. This is one of my favourite courses so far in my exploration of good value courses in the Phoenix area.
Good place to sharpen your skills
Falcon Golf course in Litchfield Park has 18 holes of well maintained city course amenities. A chipping practice area, driving range and putting area. Staff was friendly and helpful during an early morning frost delay with prompt updates. If your looking for a relaxed environment to hone in your golf skills, Falcon golf course is for you!
Nice course
Course in very good shape but 4.5 hours to play is too long.
Nice
I guess under new management, we’ll it’s working! All I can say is wow, the fairways were awesome and the greens were extremely nice an smooth . Just a nice friendly place to play a round of golf....
Too many hackers
Would be more enjoyable if you had a higher level of player. 10-14 shots to hole out. Pace was way to slow, and it was 2 somes holding up play. The noise produced by the race track next door is almost unbareable. Probably only a weekend issue. Most likely will never attempt to play this course again.
Air Show Bonus
Weather Great! Conditions Good! The Air Show from the AFBase was a bonus...
Listen to the Jets
Fairways were good condition, greens tight and true. Waste areas could be manicured a little. I know they are hazards but clean them up for a better look about the course. Quite crowded but pace was steady, finished in 4 1/2 hours. Really enjoyed the round and layout.
FRIDAY PM at Falcon
1:32 tee time ideal pace of play as there was no one pushing us.finished 18 under 4hrs. Fairways in vg condition as were the greens felt this was good value. Very nice round
Improving
New ownership is doing a good job. Fairways and greens are excellent. Bunkers are a little firm but way better than they used to be. Good value.
Nice greens!
We were playing as a twosome, and zipped around the first six holes in less than an hour. Then we watched every shot in front of us. We still finished in less than four hours. The greens were true and fast enough to be fun. We’ll be back again soon!
Long grass
The greens putted okay. Fairway grass was long. Felt like we were playing out of the rough all game. Bunkers were ugly.
Falcon golf course
Had a real good time today and yesterday, Course is in real good shape, place of play was pretty good as well staff friendly and helpful.
Bob & Jeff
Greens and fairways were in great shape and we enjoyed the race cars on the track next to the course and the F35's and F15's taking off and landing.
A bit rustic
We have played this course sporadically over the past few years. Give it a chance every year to see if it has improved. Not much change. Still a bit rustic. Greens were rolling nice though.
Nice course
First time playing here and had a good time. Fairways and greens were in great shape. Landed in the bunkers a few times but sand was good and had been raked. Overall good value for the money. Will be back.
