Found a Gem
Yes! Been living in Tucson for 3 years, played several courses and I think I may have found my favorite.
You might not want to walk this course
The course was in good shape. We usually play at city courses where you never know what your gonna get from tee to green. A pleasant surprise with great scenery and challenging greens. Bunkers were soft like they should be ( forgot how to play a soft bunker as city courses are mostly hard surfaces) which caused a few extra strokes. I will definitely be back this summer for some less than normal rates at a good course for needed bunker practice. While driving from hole to hole, I was glad to have a cart and would not want to walk this course cause the distance would wear you out!
Thanks for visiting us. Glad you had a great experience! Thanks for the kind review. Hope to see you again!
Tough course
Course management is very crucial on this course (esp. hole #13) as you can have a great tee shot and yet end up with a "lost ball" in the desert scrub. Your short game will definitely benefit your score on this course! Gorgeous views, well maintained and very friendly staff! A must play!!
Thanks for playing! Glad you enjoy the course! Hope to see you again.
Still in great shape.
The Highlands is still in great shape. The greens were a little inconsistent as far as speed. But, with the rates down now for the late spring and summer, you can really get a good deal at this Dove Mountain course.
Friendly play, with some challenges
The course is ideal for all levels of play due to the six tee boxes, with wide forgiving fairways, but with well placed hazards for the long hitters and for the errant shot.
Nice round for off season
Nice course a little hot at 105 degrees. Not impressed at all with hole 13 bit of joke really. Other than that happy with the round. Like most courses would probably be better second time around.
great course
well worth the money ex. condition staff was very helpful go back any time I can
Great course
Very challenging but fair. Tricky greens but, when in doubt, putts break to the valley.
Great Experience
Our league played here Sunday 9/13/15. Wow! Awesome course conditions. Best course I've played on since moving to Tucson in 2009. Greens are a little grainy. Be careful and pay attention to whether you into or down grain. Left a lot of putts short.
Unfriendly
A nice looking course., and should have been a great round. But hot day, and no coolers on carts. Also, marshall kept rushing us even though we wound up finishing in under the recommended time. My wife was very put off by the constant worry. Made enjoying the round difficult. Perhaps they overbooked. Looks like they sent 3-someones and even some singles out, which naturally fractured the natural flow. We golf quite a bit, and likely will not go back to this course. First time we've ever had that poor experience.
Like this course
Enjoy playing here. Hard to get on thru Golf Now September to May. Very seldom on Golf Now during those months.
Great course and great staff!
The course was in great shape and the staff made a great effort to keep the pace of play!!!
Summer Golf
Course was in really good shape. Staff was helpful and there was a ranger on the course to make sure pace of play was acceptable. Watch out for # 13.
Beautiful!
Beautiful! Dean in clubhouse was great! EExcellent condition for this time of year.
wow
Excellent course and great condition. Watch out for hole 13. I will definitely play this course again.
Great value
Awesome course for $24 including cart and range balls. Course was in excellent shape. One quirky hole but would know how to play it next time.
great value
Excellent condition from all aspects for this time of year in Tucson. Surrounding views are wonderful. Forgiving wide fairways on most holes. Great summer value in AZ.
Great views
The Heritage Highland's is one of our favorite courses in Tucson. Each hole is unique the views are great. The higher elevation makes it a little cooler. Staff is very friendly. Clubhouse food is outstanding. Never had a negative experience
Great course and great staff
Planned a golf outing for my son and I. the course was beautiful and in excellent condition. We played on a Saturday morning 10:00 tee time, and had great pace of play until after the turn and we caught some groups. Overall for a Saturday prime time, it was not bad.
Weather was quite warm, but we liked all the ice, cups and purified water available. Food and drinks were good and fair price.
Will most certainly come back.
Thank you Charles for your kind review. We are glad you had a great experience at the Highlands. Hope to see you again.
