Raven Golf Club - Phoenix

Our experience at The Raven was great! The greens were soft, smooth and quick. The overall condition of the course was 10 out of 10. I paid $90 with a hot deal and would have gladly paid $150 based on the quality/condition of the course. We will be back!

Really fun course to play, great shape, VERY friendly service from all. Bob the marshal kept us entertained with some great comedy

The staff was outstanding! Very professional, accommodating, friendly making you feel right at home! Course was in great shape. Play was a bit slow but was partially due to the need to keep carts on the cart path due to this time of year grounds keeping. Other than that, great value for the money and will go back!

Just opened post reseeding and the course conditions were great, greens just a tad slow as expected but true roll, room for minor errors off the tee, fun & challenging for all level golfers. May be a bit more difficult for your lady golfer playing forward tees, although mine is very competitive. We found the staff to be exceptionally friendly. We will definitely play again and highly recommend.

Perfect day to get out.. Recently overseeded, but didn’t affect anything. Maybe the greens could have been a bit faster but that is just my preference . Some of the traps were a little crusty but otherwise good course in good shape..

The fairways and greens are immaculate. Cart path only but worth it since the fairways are amazing. Challenging but fun course. Highly recommended

I have played Raven in the past and it was one of my favorite courses in the Phoenix area. What I did not realize was how much that was dependent on the course conditions. I recently played and given the price of nearly $100 I assumed the course was in good shape.

I was disappointed to arrive and see that the course grass was almost completely dead in preparation for over-seeding,. It is possible to have a good round during over-seed prep if the greens and tee-boxes remain in good condition. We found the greens to be rock hard and many of the teeboxes to be completely under construction with all of the different tee colors pushed all the way forward.

I normally love this course and would have been fine with the round today if we hadn't being near peak rates. $40-50 would have been appropriate, not $100.

Wait until over-seed is done.

Charging the same price as usual while overseeding is a scam. There is no notice either that they were overseeding. Be honest to your customers.

Pace of play was good thanks to a good ranger. Somewhat tight fairways with lots of trees both sides throughout the course. Not really a signature hole with most of the holes very similar but still fun to play. Will be back for the right place!

Enjoyed the course, just didn’t have my best stroke going on this day. Will have to comeback in the future to play again. Conditions were fine, but they were replacing some of the tee boxes. Pace of play was fine, but I didn’t feel welcomed by some of the other patrons. Stares and no replies from people I tried being friendly too.

1st time playing this layout, and wasn’t disappointed. Played firm and fast, and course layout was wonderful. 2 complaints…1) no one rakes the bunkers!! 2) course is closing in less than a week for overseeding… you can’t wait a few days before you shut down all the par 3 tee boxes? You’re gonna be closed for 3 weeks… a few days won’t make that much of a difference…

Course was in good condition, greens rolled well. The only issues were the sand traps had very little sand. Also, redoing tee boxes on Hole 1 and all 4 Par 3 holes. You have to tee off from the front tees on those holes.
