Raven Golf Club - Phoenix

This was my first time playing The Raven and was really looking forward to it. When we checked in the told us the greens had been aerified and we would have to play the back nine twice, The greens were covered with sand. If had known this was going to be the condition I would have played some where else.

Very nice facility and pace was good for a Saturday morning.

If you are looking for an AZ desert course with Cactus and mountains this isn't the course to play

Mountains in the background on several holes but plays more like a traditional park course.

That said, condition is very nice and layout was great. Nothing gimicky about the holes. What you see is what you get. Challenging but fair for 1st visit

Bunkers were definitely compacted & hard to hit from.

Right at 3 hours for the round.

Great day on the course. Grass was in great condition; tees to greens and everything in between.

This is a challenging course, but in such good shape for this time of year that it makes for a very enjoyable round of golf. Summer prices are lower than winter but still higher than most. I think it is worth it as this is such a well maintained course. There were a couple sand traps that could have used more sand. Pace of play was good. Course ranger had mango scented cool towels. Overall - Great.

We tees off at 3PM on the hottest day of the year and you never would have known it based on the condition of the course. The greens were nice and rolled true.

the greens held shots and putted extremely well. no bad lies in the fairways. great condition for this time of year. the traps are still pretty bad or I would have rated it a 5

My wife and I play 4 to 5 times per month. We even play through the Arizona Summers with temperatures above 110 degrees. Raven is one of the few courses that we have found that maintains it’s tee boxes, fairways, and greens in the heat of the summer. The prices are great! The staff is friendly and accommodating ! Definitely will play here often!

In great condition. No burnt fairways or greens. The starter is the best. It felt like I was on vacation for a day.

One of the best courses in the valley hands down and if you can find a Hot Deal forget about it! Book it. Awesome course and range and gorgeous staff.

Great course great shape only complaint on first green the guy mowing kept mowing in front of green when trying to hit! Rangers had a group who was going slow let us play thru so that was nice would recommend for sure! Course was in better shape then the tpc was and every other course I hit this week

For a nice course, the pace of play ruins the experience. Didn’’t see one course marshall to keep things moving. With the amount of nice courses in this area, won’t be coming back here.

This course was awesome. Played on a Sunday afternoon in a twosome. Took about 3 hours to get through all 18. Course in great shape. Only a few bunkers with really hard sand other then that no complaints. Greens rolling nice and not burnt out for mid June. Fairway grass was great. Overall great shape. This is now a go to course for me.

I'm hard to impress but this time a year when nearly every course is struggling because of transition, heat, water, ect, the Raven was in what I call hard to believe shape. i couldn't find brown spots or thin spots. Tee boxes and fairways were great. The greens and around the greens were impeccable. I understand everyone is looking for the killer summer deal but spend the little extra here. The condition warrants it. This was only my 2nd time but I'll be back.

Kudos to a coarse that spends the time and effort to keep the tee boxes, fairways, and greens in great condition even during the AZ summers! We played when it was 107 degrees and were amazed at the playing conditions. This will now be our “go to” spot this summer! Staff was great also!

This course has a nice layout, and provides a good challenge. A bit longer than a lot of courses in the Valley, but not brutal. The greens were in excellent shape, and the fairways and roughs were pretty good for summer. The bunkers didn't have enough good sand, but that it typical for AZ. Overall a fine place to play.

loved the course with its classic feel. difficult yet forgiving. Kudos to the staff-bob the starter. great job
